Low grade fever

Hi,

I've been posting off and on about my mother.

She started Oleander capsules on 15 Aug 08 and has been on 4

capsules a day except for about 2 weeks in that time (dose was lower

in the first week and in the middle when she had some loose

stools). She also did the liver cleanse around 15 Sep 08. Many stones

came

out.

She's had flu like symptoms including fever of around 100.5

degrees since 10 days ago and was on antibiotics was 5 days.

What's worrying me is that she still has the fever starting in the

afternoon or evening but its gone by next morning. Also, the sore

throat and cough haven't gone.

She's not bothered by the fever except for some headache and/or body

ache. Any suggestions, could it be Hexheimer reaction? I haven't yet

taken her to the doctor. She's getting an x-ray done today to rule

out fluid in the lung.

Thanks,

Nomita

Is she taking colloidal silver? If not, she likely should be and if

she is, she may wish to up the amount to a couple of ounces or so and

also gargle it for a bit before swallowing. Anti-biotics will not

treat a virus, they only treat bacterial infections.

Low grade fevers are not uncommon when the body's immune system is

fighting infection or disease. Oleander is of course a tremendous

immune stimulator, so it could be a kind of herxheimer effect, but

normally fevers, headaches, loose stools and nausea are experienced,

if at all, at the very beginning of taking oleander and perhaps at the

outset of beginning an increased dose.

Nomita,Put your mom on colloidal silver. This should take care of whatever infection she has going on, including pneumonia. The best source for colloidal silver is from Utopia Silver . If you are a first time customer, call, and you will get a bottle free with every bottle you order. For subsequent orders make sure to put in code LR001 and you will get a 15% discount on all items not on sale. Have her gargle the colloidal silver and then swallow. You will see the improvement.Does she have congestive heart failure by chance? If so, give her cayenne pepper mixed in half a cup of lukewarm water. If this is too difficult for her, you can get cayenne capsules. Also, is edema a problem? A way to test for edema, even if you are not sure there is swelling, is to press the skin around the ankles. If you leave an indentation, edema is present. If so, is she able to exercise in a swimming pool? The temperature should be 80 to 90 degrees. The YWCA has wonderful exercise programs. Avoid diuretics. Though diuretics are effective for the flushing out of excess water in

the people with the heart, kidney or liver disease, they can also cause

rebound edema. Continuous usage will activate the salt and water

retaining hormones and when stopped, these hormones are activated and

cause water retention.Diet is very important. Avoid salt and processed foods, pizza, fast foods, junk food, etc.Exercise as much as possible. Exercise has been shown to reduce the water

retention by flushing out the water and salt through sweating, higher

respiration and increased urine flow. Walking is good. If there is shortness of breath while moving, she can point her toes downward, then raise them up as high as possible. This pumps up the calf and foot muscles. Raising her arms will also help.Increase fluid intake. Water moves through the kidneys and bladder thus diluting the urine. It

becomes easier for the kidneys to flush diluted urine out along with

the salt contained in it. Plain water is the best option, since juices,

sodas and colas have salt content.Sip on herbal teas. Many herbs are slightly diuretic. Parsley is the

best known one. Take two teaspoons of dried leaves for each cup of

boiling water and seep for ten minutes. Drink three cups a day. Have her lie down with her feet up. This will allow the fluid collected in the legs to go to the

circulatory system and from there to the kidneys for excretion.I know I included a lot of information here, but with the information you gave me I thought I would cover all the bases.Hugs, oleander soup , "Nomita" <on1276 wrote:>> Hi,> > I've been posting off and on about my mother.> > She started Oleander capsules on 15 Aug 08 and has been on 4 > capsules a day except for about 2 weeks in that time (dose was lower > in the first week and in the middle when she had some loose > stools). She also did the liver cleanse around 15 Sep 08. Hi Nonita,

I'm probably stating the obvious here but the fever is probably due

to either the oleander or an infection. It might be a good idea to

get a blood test done to see if it is actually being caused by an

infection. If this is the case, colloidal silver will no doubt solve

the problem. I read in an old post that your mother previously had a

severe stomach infection and has also recently been given a course of

antibiotics. In my opinion,in addition to taking colloidal silver,

she should start taking a good quality probiotic (such as Udo's

choice Super 8's) to replenish the good bacteria in her digestive

system.

On the other hand, she may not have an infection at all and the fever

may be a side effect of the oleander. I remember reading that

sometimes people only start to experience side effects from oleander

several weeks after they begin to take them. Perhaps this is whats

happening with your mother. In this case it might be a good idea to

reduce the dosage of oleander slightly. However, before you do this I

would get Marc's opinion.

If her fever is uncomfortable or increases too much, you could try to

bring her temperature down with ice packs or even a cold bath until

the problem is resolved.
