I found out that taking colloidal silver for other reasons also stopped me from my yearly spring sneeze session from happening at all. Don't know exactly why but it worked. I've also avoided colds and flue since I started taking it. Cyndi
Guest guest
Nettles and a neti pot. Or have you tried those already? My brother had lots of pollen related allergies. He was on 2 different prescription medications just so he could breath. His allergies took his sense of smell away too, because of being so stuffed up all the time. Besides the prescriptions he would have to go get an antihistamine shot twice a year, when the pollen seasons rolled around, because even with the scripts he'd get so that he couldn't breath and his eyes would drive him crazy with itching. He was here one day, unable to breath, and I told him about a neti pot. We went right down and bought one and he started using it. Some people use it twice (or more) times a day, but he does it once a day. It totally cleared up his allegeries over the course of a year. After a few months he felt so good that he cut one prescription out, but kept the other one because allergy season was coming up and he didn't want to take a chance on relying on just the neti until after the season. So he got through that season and then cut out the other script. The fall season is upon us and he's breathing perfectly, no stuffiness at all. Plus, after the first few months he could smell things again. This alone, to him, was worth using the pot daily. Some people use a bit of CS in their neti every day. He just does the salt and soda. Some people only use a neti when they feel like a cold is coming on, and then they put the CS and perhaps a drop of oil of oregano or some other safe anti-virus type herb. It usually knocks out a cold. He never drank the nettles tea. His allergies cleared up with just the basic neti pot. Samala, Renee ---- I have some food allergies, but my pollen allergies are the big problem. Very incapacitating
Guest guest
Yes. Have used nettles extensively with no improvement and I rinse out my sinuses every day. It's like brushing my teeth. I feel weird if I don't do it. It helps with my nose but not the other stuff. oleander soup , " Gaiacita " <gaiacita wrote: > > Nettles and a neti pot. Guest guest
Well then I'd say that you are having allergies as a side effect, rather than the actual cause of your brain fog, stuffiness, etc. Your illness perhaps gets worse when the pollens are in season, but don't seem to be the real cause. Perhaps fungus in the body that gets set off due to pollen? I'm sorry, I can't recall the other issues you had--guess I've been focusing on allergies. But it hardly seems like allergies are at fault, at the base. Of course, allergies are usually due to emotions and poor immune system anyway. Yours are just way out of whack. Though, I could be wrong. :-) Samala, Renee ---- Yes. Have used nettles extensively with no improvement and I rinse out my sinuses every day. It's like brushing my teeth. Guest guest
When I was a child, many moons ago, my aunt used to make me chew honey cappings - the waxy part from the comb. Used to be hard to get it into a comfortable bunch in the mouth, but I had to chew it for a long time before it would feel as comfortable as a wad of gum. Initially it was the way I would imagine dry rolled oats & honey to be. A nauseating feature was the inclusion of various bits of bee anatomy! Bleah! I stayed with her for a month and was forced to have it twicw a day. My siblings still have hayfever, but I don't. I've tried the local honey thing. No results. Even bought the honey inthe comb which is supposed to be better. Tried local bee pollen even. I take a couple grams of C every day, sometimes more. The NAET works on emotions. So do EFT and Psych-K and neither of thosetechniques do a thing for me and I have done a lot of them becauseintellectually I understand how they work and why they should work, but my body and brain don't seem to agree. oleander soup, "Gaiacita" <gaiacita@.. .> wrote:>> Well, as I always say--nothing works for everyone.
