Guest guest
Thought you guys might find this interesting. This got my attention not too long ago, because I began to get liver pain when I ate Brazil nuts; then I switched to -organic- peanut butter; got the pain; then I tried almond butter; less pain, but still had the pain. So, yesterday, after months of improvement, I tried -organic- peanut butter again, and got the pain again. I think my liver is hypersensative to a lot of things. You want something tested for toxicity; you send it to me. As many already know; grains are suspect also; because they can be stored in silos, long term, and get mould. A few weeks ago, I put some almonds -organic- raw, in a container, with a sealed lid, and forgot about it for about a week;- grew mold. http://www.ansci.cornell.edu/plants/toxicagents/aflatoxin/aflatoxin.html
Guest guest
I have been lurking on this group for a couple of weeks and am prompted to post as a result of this topic. In the mid 1970s I was a member of a pre-order food co-op in mid costal Maine. Another member of our co-op was Marge Spock, sister of child rearing guru, Dr. Benjamin Spock. Marge had an organic farm right on the coast and was a friend also of Rachael Carson, who was inspired to write Silent Spring when Marge's farm got contaminated by overspray from pest eradication program nearby. But I digress… Marge's chickens began dying and her goats got sick. Upon cutting open some of the dead chickens it was discovered that their livers had liquified. Marge contacted a friend at Cornell who asked for a sample chicken. He notified her that the chicken had died of aflatoxin poisoning. This was alarming news as many of us were eating the same organic grains that were being fed to the chickens and goats. Marge obtained a special blacklight that would cause aflatoxin to flouresce and began to check the bags of grains, seeds and nuts we were getting from the warehouses in Boston and Vermont. Much of what we were getting was contaminated. We contacted the warehouses to tell them what was happening and were met with skepticism. This was organic food, there couldn't be anything toxic in it. We had to refer them to scientists to get them to believe there were such things as organic toxins. Eventually the growers were contacted and storage areas were retrofitted with dehumidifying equipment. I later moved to Boston and had some interesting conversations with people at MIT on aflatoxin. It is a huge problem in second and third world countries, in humid areas particularly. Aflatoxin can develop in hours given the right conditions. One researcher told me that in some areas few people live beyond the age of 42 primarily due to aflatoxin induced liver cancer. I also have been using the NCD and have done my share of poking around on the internet looking for information on zeolite. I found that PubMed has a lot of listings and that the powdered form is added to feed for livestock to capture the aflatoxin naturally occurring in the feed while it is undergoing digestion. It is also used in granular form to remove toxic metals from sewage sludge and in dialysis equipment to remove urea. My own experience with the NCD is that I had an increase in energy, get sick less with shorter durations, and react much less to damp, overcast weather which I am told is probably a mold allergy. I used to feel very depressed and tired and achy like I was coming down with the flu. My cat, however, has had a miraculous turn around. She's has had bronchial asthma since she was three. When she was ten years old she became adverse to moving around and less sure on her feet as if she might have arthritis or something. She gained a lot of weight and had great difficulty jumping up on my bed. She stopped going outdoors which she loved, and gave up walking around the furniture to get to her favorite perch on the chest of drawers by the window. Then, at 13 she began to throw up after meals. I had two friends who lost cats to cancer from similar symptoms after spending huge amounts at the vet. I don't have a budget that allows for big vet bills so was accepting that I would soon loose my kitty. When I started on the NCD I decided to put some in her water dish. In three days she stopped throwing up. Then she wanted to go outside. I noticed a few days later she was loosing weight. Then a couple weeks into the NCD she ran into my bedroom and leaped upon the bed like a kitten. Later she realized she could now walk around on the furniture and was so delighted that she had to walk back and forth a lot to her favorite spot just to show me she could do it. This involves a trip across my keyboard so it's annoying when I'm at the computer. Money got tight and I stopped putting the drops in her water. She didn't gain back the weight, but after a few months her asthma got worse and worse till she was laying around just trying to breath. I had not noticed an improvement of the asthma from the NCD before but I decided to try it again and in three days her asthma was reduced and she was spunky again. She just jumped up and walked across the keyboard as I was writing this. My friend, Max, who has an addictive personality and tends to overdo things took three bottle of NCD in one week. He woke up one morning and noticed that his right hand, which was usually clenched tightly shut with neuropathy was open and relaxed. Even though he then ran out of NCD and was without it for several weeks, his hand remained normal and usable. Max also has pulmonary fibrosis, and he noticed that had gotten better. When he ran out of NCD it got worse, so it is definitely helping his breathing. On another subject, that being blue green algae, I have been using spirulina for around 30 years. Dr. Hiroshi Nakamura, Japan's expert on chlorella, along with Dr. Christopher Hills discovered spirulina while searching for a better alternative to chlorella, which is a single celled algae that requires special processing to break its very hard cellulosic shell. Spirulina has a better nutrient profile than chlorella and is a bit cheaper due to less processing required. It has been heavily researched and has been used to feed malnourished babies in third world countries because of it's ease of digestion and assimilation. It also contains several known cancer fighting compounds. Although heart disease has been a big killer on both sides of my family, I have no cholesterol deposits in my arteries and no varicose veins, and the one I got while pregnant with my daughter in 1970 went away after a couple of years on spirulina. My favorite variety is Spirulina Maxima which is grown in Chile in covered ponds. It has such a high pigment level it is a very dark green verging on black and it has a better flavor than the more common Pacifica variety. I make a smoothie with it for breakfast every morning. You can get spirulia at iHerb but I don't know the variety they carry. I tracked down the importer for the maxima a few years ago and have put together a local buying club to get it cheaper. http://www.elixline.com/ They also have articles. On MMS, I noticed that someone had a reaction from putting it on the skin. I also tried a transdermal application and realizing how volatile it was I suspected that more of it evaporated than went into the skin. I tried using the solution on a paper towel and then covered it with plastic. It worked real well to get it into my skin but the end result was also a second degree chemical burn. After freaking out briefly I realized I had another great experiment and used a blend of essential oils mixed in organic almond oil to treat the burn with very good results. It was very painful for a while though. Be very careful putting this stuff on your skin. It is an oxidizer, after all and can do to your tissues what it does to pathogens. I really hate the taste of MMS but have had success with using my stomach as the mixing bowl for the MMS and the citric acid. I take them separately and let the reaction happen in my stomach. There is some burping but not as unpleasant as tasting the mixture. I am looking forward to trying the oleander soup. I have neighbors who are organic who have a nice hedge in the back yard they said I could trim. If you are wondering what my health challenges are, it is that I was born with a fussy body that gets everything. I have allergies that can incapacitate me as my brain shuts down and I become depressed and exhausted. Right now I seem to have some virus that won't go away. It doesn't make me really sick but just mildly debilitated. I have been researching alternative options for about 35 years and am always learning new and exciting things. Guest guest
Bob, I used the MMS as recommended in Jim Humble's book and got up to the 15 drops but had to stop because it began to cause severe stomach pain, which I assumed was caused by it attacking the stomach lining. That's why I wanted to try putting it on the skin. I always made sure to have enough food in my stomach after a couple of experiences with vomiting when not having enough food. I have not had a change in my allergies and depression as a result of taking MMS but I did knock out a cold in about 12 hours and my gums stopped bleeding. I've noticed some other benefits but my allergies are stubborn. I have read a lot of research and downloaded the Materials Safety Data Sheet for chlorine dioxide. It is a commonly used industrial bleaching and sanitizing agent and there have been some industrial accidents that have killed people. It is not a harmless product if over exposed. The deaths resulted from people breathing the concentrated fumes which caused a chemical burn of the lungs resulting in them essentially drowning in their body's own fluids in response to the burn. Having seen what it did to my skin I understand how that would happen. The mixture of NaCLO2 and citric acid produces the ClO2 which is defined as a gas. It begins to off gas at once which is why you are prompted to drink the diluted solution soon after mixing. If you let it sit long enough the ClO2 will have evaporated. Spreading it on the skin, most of it ends up in the air. Some does get through the skin, but ingestion is probably the best way to get it all inside of you. The sodium chlorite, although highly alkaline, is actually less reactive than the ClO2 itself which is highly reactive. Remember Humble started with using the sodium chlorite and then came up with creating a more effective solution by mixing it with an acid outside the body to form the chlorine dioxin, a process that took place more slowly in the body when it relied on the acids produced by the body to catalyze it. By taking the citric acid in a half glass of water and then the NaClO2 in about a quarter glass of water afterward (or visa versa) I avoid the very unpleasant bleachy taste and smell of the pre mixed product but the result is the same and I don't have to wait three minutes for the reaction. I do have bleachy burps, however as the reaction begins to produce the gas in my stomach. I did find a study on PubMed in which chlorine dioxide was fed to rats and found to produce no lasting damage at the concentrations used. Ruth Posted by: " bbanever " bbanever californiabichonblue Sun Sep 21, 2008 7:31 am (PDT) Ruth, If you used the MMS correctly I don't think you would have had any problems. It must always be diluted with water or apple juice whether being put on the skin or ingested and you should never ingest the 28% solution of sodium chlorite before it is activated with a food acid to make chlorine dioxide. What you are ingesting is highly caustic and alkaline... it is toxic. Try taking the activated MMS (chlorine dioxide) in about 4 oz of water or apple juice and I'd bet your depression and exhaustion would disappear in short order. It should rid your body or any virus, bacteria, parasite, and most fungus. Start out slowly with just two or three drops of activated sodium chlorite in the water. Good luck. Guest guest
There's no need to rush to the 15 drops, nor stay at 15 drops if it effects you negatively. A person can use just 3 or 4 drops, or 5 or 6, daily and still get the same effect. It just takes longer to kill everything, but it is much easier on the system to go slow. Everyone wants to rush to the 15 drops twice a day because they have been ill for so long and they are looking at MMS as a cure. It can be a cure, but it can also be hurtful if not taken properly. So take a rest from it, then start back on a much lower dose. Guest guest
Hi Ruth. Great info here, thanks. You may want to try the MMS straight (not activated) in a glass of water. It will react with the acid in your stomach, no need to take the acidifier separately. There were a few people on the MMS list that just put the straight-from-the-bottle drops of MMS in their water and sip it all day long. They found that their bodies got the same reaction (die-off) when they reached the same amount of straight drops in their water as they were taking with AMMS. Which means that it was actually working the same, only no bad taste or smell. For your allergies, have you tried EFT , nettles tea, or NAET? All 3 work great, and probably together work even better. Guest guest
Ruth, I seem to recall Jim Humble addressed both of these issues in his book. When you reach a point (apparently 15 drops in your case) that causes discomfort/nausea you should back off on the dosage temporarily and then continue to increase to your target level. Actually 15 drops is a pretty good dose, depending on what dis-ease you are working on. Likewise putting it on the skin. Nothing wrong with that per se but you've got to wash it off after one minute. If you have Jim Humbles book (3rd edition) you may want to check it out. Guest guest
Phil, I believe Jim Humble said you don't have to wash off activated MMS (chlorine dioxide), but you DO have to wash of sodium chlorite after 30 seconds or so. Guest guest
It depends on the person's skin sensitivity. It's good to watch it even if it's AMMS. There have been people who didn't wash AMMS off their skin and got rashes and itching. Samala, Renee ---- I believe Jim Humble said you don't have to wash off activated MMS (chlorine dioxide), but you DO have to wash of sodium chlorite after 30 Seconds or so. Guest guest
Citric acid use to be made of lemon juice. Now many places make it of GM corn. So you have to know what your citric is made from. Some people have that reaction to the corn citric. Samala, Renee ---- I got some serious liver/gallbladder pain from using citric acid. I'll never use it again. I never have had a problem with lemon juice.--- On Sun, 9/21/08, Ruth Harris <phoophh wrote: Ruth Harris <phoophhRe: Re:aflatoxinsoleander soup Date: Sunday, September 21, 2008, 3:37 PM Bob,I used the MMS as recommended in Jim Humble's book and got up to the 15 drops but had to stop because it began to cause severe stomach pain, which I assumed was caused by it attacking the stomach lining. I do have bleachy burps, however as the reaction begins to produce the gas in my stomach.I did find a study on PubMed in which chlorine dioxide was fed to rats and found to produce no lasting damage at the concentrations used.RuthPosted by: "bbanever" bbanever (AT) earthlink (DOT) net californiabichonblu eSun Sep 21, 2008 7:31 am (PDT)Ruth,If you used the MMS correctly I don't think you would have had anyproblems. It must always be diluted with water or apple juice whether beingput on the skin or ingested and you should never ingest the 28% solution ofsodium chlorite before it is activated with a food acid to make chlorinedioxide. What you are ingesting is highly caustic and alkaline... it istoxic. Try taking the activated MMS (chlorine dioxide) in about 4 oz ofwater or apple juice and I'd bet your depression and exhaustion woulddisappear in short order. It should rid your body or any virus, bacteria, parasite, and most fungus. Start out slowly with just two or three drops ofactivated sodium chlorite in the water.Good luck.Bob

Tammatha - Duke Stone oleander soup Sunday, September 21, 2008 12:42 PM Re: Re:aflatoxins Ruth This is an excellent bit of information. Duke --- On Sun, 9/21/08, Ruth Harris <phoophh > wrote: Ruth Harris <phoophh > Re:aflatoxinsoleander soup Date: Sunday, September 21, 2008, 5:26 AM I have been lurking on this group for a couple of weeks and am prompted to post as a result of this topic. But I digress…Marge's chickens began dying and her goats got sick. I used to feel very depressed and tired and achy like I was coming down with the flu.My cat, however, has had a miraculous turn around. I tracked down the importer for the maxima a few years ago and have put together a local buying club to get it cheaper. http://www.elixline .com/ They also have articles. I have neighbors who are organic who have a nice hedge in the back yard they said I could trim.If you are wondering what my health challenges are, it is that I was born with a fussy body that gets everything. I have allergies that can incapacitate me as my brain shuts down and I become depressed and exhausted. Right now I seem to have some virus that won't go away. It doesn't make me really sick but just mildly debilitated.I have been researching alternative options for about 35 years and am always learning new and exciting things.Ruth

Guest guest
The only thing I have found that helps is Membrane Complex. Unfortunately it also is very constipating and I have had a life long problem with a sluggish bowel and constipation. I eat a very high fiber diet and it is still a problem. But the Membrane Complex knocks back the allergies to a manageable level. Nettles do nothing. Neither does EFT or it's cousin Psych-K. Guest guest
Phil, I had already come to the conclusion that more small doses were better than fewer large ones. Keeping the blood levels up seems to be the goal. I think Jim Humble's instructions for putting it on the skin were to treat skin problems and not as a transdermal application to get it into the body. NaClO2 is a mineral salt that is caustic. Applied to the skin it would start to eat away at the skin cells eventually. ClO2 is a gas. Applied to the skin it will evaporate out of the solution although some may penetrate the skin. If covered, like what I did, it will penetrate the skin, and if not highly diluted it will oxidize the skin, which is what happened to me. I have Jim Humble's most recent ebook. I know 2 people who say that NAET basically saved their lives as they had gotten down to being able to eat nothing but rice and yogurt. NAET gave them back the ability to eat everything again. And I know people who have used nettles and gotten rid of all allergies, not just plant based but animal dander too. Guess you are one of the unfortunates that have to keep looking at everything till you find what works for YOU. What about C to bowel tolerance(allergies and constipation)? Sometimes my throat gets scratchy and my eyes feel like they are full of fine sand. In Feb and Mar the accacia will trigger off violent sneezing and nose running on top of this. I've tried the local honey thing. No results. Even bought the honey in the comb which is supposed to be better. Tried local bee pollen even. I take a couple grams of C every day, sometimes more. The NAET works on emotions. So do EFT and Psych-K and neither of those techniques do a thing for me and I have done a lot of them because intellectually I understand how they work and why they should work, but my body and brain don't seem to agree. oleander soup , " Gaiacita " <gaiacita wrote: > > Well, as I always say--nothing works for everyone.
