I have written previously about my problem with diarrhea when I take

the OPC. I started out w/ the liquid and even 1/2 tsp caused it. Then

I tried the caps and even one a day caused it. I tried taking it

every other day and went days w/o taking it, experimented with it, and

then the day I took it, the diarrhea returned. (BAD!!) I endured it

for weeks and lost weight bc everything went straight through me

(didn't need or want to lose weight). As soon as I stopped taking it,

the diarrhea stopped and now things are back to normal.

I guess this is just a comment rather than a question bc I honestly

don't know what else to do. Maybe I'm allergic to the cancer bush, bc

I know I'm not allergic to oleander.

I'm very disappointed and I guess this is it for me as far as the

oleander goes. My husband doesn't have this problem. Maybe some of us

just can't take it.

Thanks for all the previous suggestions. Marcia

Marcia -

I am sorry to hear that - hopefully you can make your own oleander

extract and use it instead. Personally, I feel that just about all of

the success of Sutherlandia OPC when it comes to cancer is from the

oleander - just as I believe was true when the OPC was formulated with

3 rain forest botanicals before the switch to S. Frutescens. Under

either formulation, the 80% oleander extract has been the big gun and

the rest bonuses.

I suppose it is possible that you could be allergic to S. Frutescens,

though I can find no literature readily available about allergies to

it. I do note that one of the common side effects is diarrhea.

Ironically, another is constipation.

Tony: Thanks for the response regarding my intestinal problem w/

taking the oleander. I have been reading other posts on this forum

as well as curezone and I just had a thought: (I really hate to even

ask you this)but....

I know there's nothing as effectove as the oleander but since I

cannot tolerate even a tiny bit of it, what would be the next best

thing as far as immune building/cancer killing/etc? Is there

anything at all that comes to your mind that I could substitute for

the oleander? I'm doing all the rest of your protocol but now I'm

w/o the most impt part! It won't be the same, but if there is

something else that even remotely comes close to the effectiveness

of the oleander, I could add that to the rest of the protocol.

A wild shot I'm sure, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Thanks, Marcia

Marcia,

Until Tony gets back, let me reply. First of all, it is wonderful that

you are also following his protocol. You have a wonderful arsenal

behind you. As per his message, is it possible for you to make the soup

and just try the oleander alone without the Sutherlandia Frutescens? At

least to try this before you totally discount it. Who knows? That

might be the answer And then, if that doesn't work, we can cross that

bridge.

Even though I have a bunch of oleander plants growing in my yard, it kind of freaks me out to make my own. I have read all the posts about those brewing their own and honestly i'm afraid that i might poison myself or something!! I know that sounds ridiculous for most of the people in the group, but...

I do think it's a good suggestion to try it alone before I give up on it --and the only way to do it is to make my own, so maybe i'll get up enough nerve and just do it. I guess I'll read again all the posts on it and see how I feel after that.

Thanks for the suggestion . I'll keep you posted. Marcia

Marcia,

I understand your concern. Remember, oleander loses its toxicity when

it is made into a soup or extract. You will not kill yourself. And

being that they are growing in your yard I can assume that they are not

being sprayed by commercial pesticides? This is the first and most

important consideration. If they are being sprayed then, no it is out

of the question. But if they are not, and are growing naturally....

full steam ahead.

However..... easy does it. Take it slow. Follow the exact directions

and wear the appropriate gloves while getting the clippings. Ask any

questions you need to and we are here to guide you through it.

It really sounds harder than it is. Once you get it down it is a piece

of cake.

I never really thought about it losing its toxicity when cooked. I guess that would have to be the case bc everyone would be dropping dead, wouldn't they?

No my plants have not been sprayed. They are big and healthy, so maybe I'll get up my nerve...I'll let you know.

> Marcia,I understand your concern. Remember, oleander loses its

toxicity whenit is made into a soup or extract. You will not kill

yourself. Andbeing that they are growing in your yard I can assume that

they are notbeing sprayed by commercial pesticides? This is the first

and mostimportant consideration. If they are being sprayed then, no it

is outof the question. But if they are not, and are growing

naturally....full steam ahead.However..... easy does it. Take it slow.

Follow the exact directionsand wear the appropriate gloves while getting

the clippings. Ask anyquestions you need to and we are here to guide you

through it.It really sounds harder than it is. Once you get it down it

is a pieceof cake.Hugs,oleander soup , Marcia

the OPC>>>>> Marcia,Until Tony gets back, let me reply. First of all, it

iswonderful thatyou are also following his protocol. You have a

wonderfularsenalbehind you. As per his message, is it possible for you

to makethe soupand just try the oleander alone without the

SutherlandiaFrutescens? Atleast to try this before you totally discount

it. Whoknows? Thatmight be the answer And then, if that doesn't work, we

cancross thatbridge.Hugs,--- In
