I do know we rescued two shetlands and they didn't live as long as the one we got from a breeder directly who was our Chipper who lived just one month past 16 years old. She was amazing and we did everything right for her. We did everything right for Cody and Ginger but I think the stress from their former owners, etc. did a number on them. Breaks my heart knowing how Cody was treated before he became ours! So in that sense you are right about finding a GOOD breeder because some just do it for the money period! Thanks for your opinion on this, I so agree with the pesticide thing. We live in a condo and at our yearly meeting I think I got them to do organic pesticide now.
