Yes, it is very possible the problem skipped a generation or so. Years ago I acquired through a marriage a purebred Rottie from a backyard breeder as well, and boy did he have health issues. It was incredible how early his symptoms started (4 yrs old )and then it was downhill from there, it was tragic. Had to put him down at 7yrs old he was so ill and sickly. Back then not knowing any better (1999) the conventional vets killed him with so much surgery and drugs. I regret all we did to him, none of it helped.

Thanks! No actually I got him from a friend as a puppy. (he's a chow). Both parents are owned by my friend and have absolutely no problems at all, so it must have come from grandparents or further back. Yes I hope it works too. He is the sweetest, most loyal, best dog we've ever had, w/ a huge heart. I hate to see him hurt so I appreciate your information. I'll keep you posted. Marcia

I hope it helps too Marcia, that is 4-5 of silver, about 3 of gold. Wow, hip displasia at 8 month sounds like you got him from a breeder. Weaver will be 13 in Dec.

Hi Tammatha: Thanks so much. I have the silver but now I will order the gold. Is that 4-5 TBSP of each? I also have the S/OPC caps--I can't wait to try it all on Dakota. Poor baby, he had hip displasia at 8 months and had an operation to reform his leg/hip joint. It worked great, now he's 7 yrs. But now the elbow thing. Hope it works, thanks, Marcia

Hi Marcia,

Weaver too has elbow arthritis. I'm not kidding he was so bad some days he couldn't walk but a few feet. l I noticed a difference with the CS & CG in about 4 days. I give him about 4-5 tablespoons a day. I also have him on the S/OPC I just increased him to 2 caps a day after a long time on 1.

Tammatha: How much silver and gold do you give Weaver? And how often? How long did it take for him to improve? My furkid, Dakota, has arthritis in his elbows and is in pain. Thanks, Marciaoleander soup , "Tammatha" <tammatha wrote:>> Thank you Tony, I must mention how much The CS & CG (Colloidal Silver & Gold) has helped Weaver my dog(12.5yrs). He was limping awful from arthritis. I have tried soooo many different things on him to no avail. The CS & CG has helped tremendously, he is much more limber and not nearly as painful. He is a few years younger for sure. Also, he had a sore, crusty nose and it has healed. I put the CS directly on his nose. As I recall you said you really can't overdose on the stuff, right? When he chases a cat or squirrel and runs like a banshee, sometimes he is limping again...then I'll give him a extra dose and he is good again in a bit. Is this okay to just give extra to his normal doses? He will drink it straight, he really likes the stuff. > > Tammatha> - > Tony > oleander soup > Tuesday, August 26, 2008 10:38 PM> Re: Colloidal Silver & Gold> > > Yes, they work very well together and appear to enhance one another -> particularly in fighting cancer.> > Tony> > oleander soup , "Tammatha" <tammatha@> wrote:> >> > Tony & or ,> > I wrote this question days ago and didn't get a reply...maybe you> didn't get it? Wow, I had no idea I would open up a discussion about backyard breeders. Actually Dakota's "original owners" are not backyard breeders. They had a female chow for years and then rescued a male chow, which they thought was fixed. Both dogs lived happily together for 4-5 years and then, out of the blue she got pregnant. They couldn't believe it since so many years had elapsed w/ them being together. Anyway, that's the story of Dakota's parents.

Hope the CS and CG will help. I offered some silver to Dakota, which he rejected. Then I put some in his favorite food, which he also rejected. (weird-- my cat will drink it straight). So I am probably going to have a problem giving it to him. I thought I would put the liquid in some capsules, but that's alot of pills! Any other suggestions?

Hi Marcia,

Gosh, that is surprising Dakota rejected it. I heard that most dogs are attracted to it over a bowl of plain water. Weaver likes it straight too just like your cat. What I do sometimes if I want Weaver to have more CS is put it in a small bowl and add just a bit of water to it when he is really thirsty, like right after a long walk and you get back in the car and give him water. He is bound to drink it all then. Or...perhaps pick up his water at home a few hours before you know you are going for a walk so he is really thirsty when you get home and give him the CS water then.

Backyard breeders can mean anyone who's doggie was breed accidently or not, no mind it is getting off the subject of all of our health anyway. A good subject for another forum.
