Zeolite

This along with the Colloidal Silver group got me interested in using clays both externally and internally to cleanse out heavy metals and toxins. I have been primarily interested in Calcium Bentonite and Zeolite based on recommendations from others I have also seen comments that liquid Zeolite and powdered Zeolite are effective but expensive. After investigating further, I am convinced that I and two of my relatives (and also my dog) have medical conditions that can be helped by Zeolite and possibly Calcium Bentonite. So, I have searched for a reasonably priced source of quality Zeolite. I found one at:

G and G Natural Products operates a Zeolite mine in Idaho. They offer micronized Clinoptilolite Zeolite powder as is used in the original Liquid Zeolite that is based on the process described in the US Patent 6288045 - Epithelial Cell Cancer Drug. They charge $3.00 per pound for the micronized Clinoptilolite Zeolite powder plus a flat rate shipping cost. I have no personal association with this company but I will tell you why I am so strongly recommending them (besides their low cost). When I first called them, the phone was answered by the company owner. He was very knowledgeable and clearly a strong believer in the health benefits of Zeolite. While he described himself as a redneck mine operator, that is not how he came across our conversation. He was exceedingly informantive, helpful and friendly. To place my order I had to call back later when his assistant would be there. His assistant, Nicole, was also very helpful and offered to answer any questions I had at any time and to call or email if I had other questions. She even offered the cell phone number of the owner if I wanted to ask him questions! Frankly, I was shocked. Who ever does that these days? She said that the owner was a real believer in Zeolite and was angered by the high prices he had seen for liquid and powdered Zeolite and was determined to offer it at a low price so that anyone could afford it. The owner, his family, Nicole and many friends of the owner all use the Zeolite powder.

Some other info I found on the web:

Prices for powdered Zeolite on ebay:

2 ¼ lbs for $37 plus shipping

1 lb for $60 incl. shipping

¼ lb for $17 plus shipping

Elsewhere on the web it was often $70 per lb plus shipping, or higher.

Some Zeolite powders were described as Ultra Pure but their purity is about the same as the G and G Natural Products Zeolite.

A supplier for Liquid Zeolite (also known as Activated Zeolite) stated that their product is superior because they remove toxins from the Zeolite by heating the Zeolite in a mild acid solution. In fact the patent, 6288045 describes the process where Zeolite is heated in a solution of acetic acid (or hydrochloric, sulfuric, hydro-bromic or gluconic acid) along with a poloxy compound such as iron oxide. The heated solution is then filtered and additional water added to it to develop the final product. I think you can easily do this yourself. I plan on experimenting with some of the Zeolite I have ordered even though I question the need for or value of this process.

Just for information, 1 lb of Zeolite will produce 192 (15ml) bottles of liquid Zeolite that sell for $45 each on eBay.

Some alternate liquid Zeolite suppliers use Humic or Fulmic acid in their versions. Perhaps to avoid patent infringement but for the same purpose?

Wow Steve, great find, and great information. Please, if you experiment with purifying the zeolite, let us know your results. And your results from using the powdered zeolite even if you don't purify it. As I am now fascinated by clay, and have learned that TLC clay is the clay just below the top layer of zeolite, I'm very interested in the powdered zeolite too.

Thanks,

Renee

Steve,

It is my understanding that some zeolites, including the clinoptilolites, contain trace amounts of heavy metals. Make sure you get an assay of the product before taking it internally.
