cookin' my oleander

I'm cooking my first batch of oleander as I type. Boy that stuff smells

icky. Like overcooked greens. Yes, it's on simmer and not burning ;-)

But I cut too much for my pot so don't have 2 " water above the greens.

Will add a bit more water as soon as they're mushy.

The taller pan was teflon; I understand teflon to work somewhat like

cast iron in that the pores fill up with stuff being cooked. Not sure I

want that residue in that pan.

Perhaps signs of oleander poisoning are something I should know?

Bless your heart Saralou. Yep, It sure does stink. LOL! Yes, add more

water when you can, and remember to strain it well. As for a Teflon

pan, cooking anything in those pans is bad for you. I am glad you're

not using it.

Keep us posted as to your progress in making the soup.
