Guest guest
Just got back from the vets. Please don't think we are nuts but we decided to try one more thing for Cody. To give him his pheno, up the lasix by 1 more and give him his antibiotic. Vet found a heart murmur this mng. which has not been heard before today. We asked him point black if this was your furkid what would you do? He said I would give this a chance to work for him but if it gets worse then we have to think about letting Cody go. We love him so much that we decided to try this for him. He's very weak and I am force feeding him with cottage cheese, yogurt and baby food as this is all he will take and will not eat solid foods at all. I will also try the Evo soft but he hates it. We thought this out thoroughly before trying this as I had thought it would be the end for Cody. If it weren't for this vet I think we might have let him go but as you all know we have never faltered from helping him if we can. All our love and thanks for the prayers, thoughtfulness for us and just asking for more good wishes and prayers that he can through this. Guest guest
Marc, Thank you for your suggestions for Cody but he hasn't had anything to eat on his own for 25 days. Tomorrow he will go to sleep permanently. His chemo vet just called me from florida and feels it has not only spread to his lungs but to his bone marrow. Thanks for helping and sorry I couldn't use oleander right from the beginning. Our best, Bonnie & CodyLooking for a car that's sporty, fun and fits in your budget? Read reviews on AOL Autos. Guest guest
Dear Bonnie & Cody, Sorry to hear about your continuous problems with your little Cody. However, with due respect to all dog lovers on this forum, I don't think the best food for a sick dog is cottage cheese, yogurt and baby food! One of the reasons pets get human diseases is because we give them our unhealthy food. Why don't you try to give him some raw mince that has been squeezed through a cheese cloth. IMHO, the mince juice will do him more good than cheese and other human food. Marc Swanepoel - evian793 oleander soup Monday, August 11, 2008 5:33 PM Cody update Just got back from the vets. Guest guest
Bonnie, Bless your heart! When I read your post about Cody this morning, I was in tears. I know you guys are fighting the good fight and it broke my heart to think that this might be the end. More prayers for you from our house (about 50 furkids of different species and a few featherkids too). I know it's been really hard on you, but we really do pray that Cody makes it through this and comes out on top. Blessings, Shara oleander soup , evian793 wrote: > > Just got back from the vets. Guest guest
For what its worth, Edgar Cayce used to prescribe "Beef Juice" - to people who could not eat, Said to revive the weak. I forget the recipe; not complicated; it might spark Codys' interest in food again.--- On Mon, 8/11/08, evian793 <evian793 wrote: evian793 <evian793 Cody updateoleander soup Date: Monday, August 11, 2008, 11:33 AM Just got back from the vets.
