Cody update

August 10, 2008

Since I didn't sleep for three days I took the day off yesterday from my pc, I was just working on overtime and had 0 energy.

Had an appnt. for Cody at 10:20 and didn't get out of the office until 1:45! They have Cody on lasix, an antibiotic, an appetite stimulant and phenobarbitol. I haven't given him the pheno yet as it's very strong I hear. He hasn't had a seizure in a day but his breathing is very labored even with the lasix day two now. He hasn't eaten a think on his own in 23 days now and have to force feed him all the time more often and less as its easier on him. Vet was not sure if the seizures were related to the cancer but very well could be as it might have gone to his central nervous system now. They found fluid on his lungs and they also gave him oxygen yesterday.

In any case if Cody ever miracuously came out of this he could never have chemo again and there is nothing more to do for him with the cancer as he can't tolerate much of anything anymore. We are just right now trying to keep him as comfortable as possible, cleaning up after him a lot and force feeding things that are easily given.

All I can say is he is one brave little furkid that never complained to anyone when they probed, chemoed, gave iv's very often, took blood/work constantly, fluids etc. He was thought of as the kind little gentleman by all of them.

I would go to the ends of the earth to do anything more that could be done for Cody but right now I am just going to be there with him and for him.

I thank each and everyone of you who have prayed for us and please if you can continue to because you never know! I just can't even imagine what I would do w/out you.
