Mirtazapine. Cody's regular vet just called and is taking him off of pred and pepcid right away and giving him some mirtazapine for appetite. Seems there are no side effects but works better with cats but can work with dogs too.

 

I also gave Cody some enervite this mng. as someone suggested that his sugar might be off and that's why he's having seizures, just not sure but I tried it and so far he has kept it down.

And.... beware when a doctor says that a specific drug does not have side effects. All drugs have side effects. Well said, . Vet's/Doctors either (1) are uninformed themselves

(after all, they get their information from drug salespersons)or (2)

they rely on patient ignorance and naivete. Eiter way they're helping

to kill a lot of people and pets.
