Guest guest
With all your support, I'm not giving up. But I am weary, so I do the research, phone calls, and prep a little at a time. Doubling time: I had a blood test in April, this year, and again in July. My CA-125 shot up from roughly 160 to 866. SCARY! Tumors are large in my abdomen, and I have ascites. I had a blood test on my way out of an initial meeting with an onco last week, and I'm due for another blood test in two weeks. They will be close together and we can look at doubling time. Or hopefully, not doubling. Taking lots of zeolite for the next two weeks.I started OPC on May 20, and was easily taking 4 caps a day within the week. I then made some OS, and decided on OS twice a day and OPC once a day; I still gag sometimes from homemade OS, sometimes starting when I take it out of the fridge. I ordered a large supply of OPC caps because I tolerate them better, will take 3 caps twice a day, and homemade OS once a day. Dearest Tony, I'm not taking colloidal gold because I'm allergic to gold, and possibly silver too - was tested for gold, not silver, but I can't wear a silver necklace Harry gave me for more than an hour or two without itching and redness. One of my sisters is as allergic to metals as I am. Taking lots of CS, won't start on gold. Because of the Budwig protocol, two years ago I eliminated the indoor environmental toxins, added a chlorine shower filter, new glass or stainless cooking pots without nickel, distilled water, etc . . Doing Low dose naltrexone, lpha-lipoic acid, Chinese mushrooms, including agaricus, etc .Hmm, no blood tonic. Artemesinin is a complex protocol; I'm doing so many things I don't think I'm up for it right now, but I sure can add lemon grass tea - delicious. I'll look for fresh lemon grass; I wonder whether the dried is as healthful as fresh; it sure is much easier to keep around. I'm trying a liver cleanse for the third time, using epsom salts from a health food store. Previously, regular epsom salts gave me projectile vomiting. By the way Oncotech does an assay to test which chemo, solo and in combinations, is most likely to be successful, plus it's covered by most insurance in the US. the test requires live cancer cells. I wouldn't do a biopsy just for it, but there are cancer cells in my ascites, which can be sent to the lab. Not giving up - but very weary of the ups and downs of cancer, and of fighting. Lonely for Harry.Rhoda
Guest guest
Rhoda,Tumor lysis can cause spikes in markers. This is due to the debris released from dying cell membranes. If you had that big spike and started on the oleander in between tests it could indicate induced autophagy in the cancer cells. Food for thought.MikeRhoda Mead <hummingbird541oleander soup Sent: Thursday, August 7, 2008 11:49:33 PM Doubling time With all your support, I'm not giving up. Guest guest
Dearest Rhoda, You may find fresh lemon grass in big Chinese/Asian groceries. My prayers for you specially on your lonesome moments. Melly
