Guest guest
Oh Bonnie, to have both your dad and Cody extremely ill at the same time. I wish the very best for you and your animal and human family.Prednisone experience. Harry developed an extreme inflammation in his hands. They were swollen, hot and red. He was often unable to use his hands. My chemo treatment was over, and I was able to care for him; never leaving him alone when he was awake after he fell once and couldn't use his hands to get up. He had all kinds of tests, in two different medical centers, but none could explain what was wrong. He was prescribed prednisone to keep the inflammation under control. He had this for over a year, and it kept getting worse; doctors feared it would reach his heart, but could only increase the pred. After I started Budwig, I kept on reading and reading. Found something about Omega3 and inflammation. I forced flax oil/cottage (FOCC) cheese on him. In precisely one month, he woke me up dancing; " My hands don't hurt, my hands don't hurt " . It did take three months to wean him off pred and completely get rid of the swelling. He continued a morning dose of delicious FOCC with fruit for the rest of his life. And yes, this site feels more and more like family to me. Rhoda
Guest guest
I am surprised that they prescribed prednisone for your husband, as swelling is one of the side effects of prednisone.
