Tony,

 

Yes it does bind with histamine receptors but it can be helpful when

the dog is taking prednisone as this will injure the stomach lining over

time. I had to give it to my dog for a month while he was on pred... it had

no side effects that I could notice and withdrawl is easy... you simply stop

(NOT SO with the pred... this must be withdrawn slowly under medical

supervision).
