Thanks May, my wife seems to be caught in a catch 22 situation. Water pills did not work, antibiotics made her problems worse and when she used the CS in a nebulizer to help her COPD, she had a hard time getting her breath. I had read testimonials that people on oxygen were able to get off oxygen by using CS in a nebulizer, but she got scared and gave it up after several tries. As for the CHF, they did check her for CHF and said that was not the problem. She does have a mitro valve problem and has had an operation called Oblation ( they burned an electrical circuit into ) for SVT attachs. Before this operation, one time her heart was not beating, just quivering by the time I got her to the emergency room. Her heart doctor did not tell her about the operation that could save her life, she had to see the report on TV and ask for the operation. She has never had any more SVT problems. She told me this morning that she is going to try the CS in her nebulizer again. Got my fingers crossed. But you may be right, her problem may come from the heart.

Thanks again, Jim K

Actually, although diuretics are commonly prescribed for edema, they are

not the answer. They do more harm than good and tend to perpetuate the

condition. And it also depletes the potassium in the system. Below is

a link with information, the causes and remedies for edema. Exercise,

especially in the water works very well. Does your wife lose her breath

when walking? Again, I would specify that diet is very important, not

only no salt, but no processed or junk foods. The link below also

covers diet.

As for colloidal silver, I must confess, I have not personally used it

in a nebulizer either for myself or for someone else. Could it be that

you are putting in too much? Are you mixing it with the solutions the

doctor gives you? I would not advise doing that. But I would scale

back on the colloidal silver and maybe use a very little bit and see how

that works. Anybody who knows the answer to this, please jump in. I am

mainly guessing now.

Again, and I am just being very careful, despite the doctor's diagnosis,

do not discount CHF. I'm not saying that this is the culprit, I am just

saying keep your eyes open. COPD together with CHF is way too common.

One clue is if she loses her breath when walking together with the

edema. And one sure fire way of knowing...... If she ever spits up

bubbly frothy saliva, she has congestive heart failure and don't let a

doctor tell you that she doesn't. My mother was supposedly also given

tests that said that she didn't have CHF but upon my insistence they

redid the tests and guess what? The doctor sheepishly admitted that she

did. I am so sorry to be hammering on the subject, but this is very

close to my heart and I don't understand why doctors sometimes will not

admit certain things. Remember....... your wife had to ask for that

operation.

Lastly, two supplements that will aid the cardiovascular system are

CoQ10 and L-Carnetine.

Just be watchful.

Hugs,
