Has anyone had any experience with Erythema Nodosum.my wife just

received her report on a biopsy she just completed and now she is

waiting to see what action the doctor will take. For many months, she

has had severe swelling in her feet, ankles and lower legs, along

with high heat in that location, also very red and skin peeling like

a very severe sun burn and bad itching. Prior to the biopsy, she

received three blood test that showed no problems, tried three

different anibiotics( no relief ). Doppler for blood clots as she

had big knots and lumps in the legs. It looked to me like

cellulitus and put her on 3 tsp CS 3X/day and spraying CS 3X/day.

Tried to get her to take 3 Tbs of CS 3x/day,but shs stuck to 3 to 6

tsp, This helped the pain when walking and standing, the redness in

the ankles and legs, But did not help the fever. I then included

Zyflamend a few days ago and the fever has left. Do not know if it

was the Zyflamend or something else. The knots end lumps remain and

are too sore to be touched.

Would loved to hear from any one that has had this problem. The

doctor has said it is an infection in the fatty tissue of the body

and could go away with out any help from any one and that is what my

wife wants to believe, so I may be wasting eveyone's time.

Thanks. Jim K

My wife has a similar condition but she has all her lower legs and feet swell - not just lumps as in Erythema Nodosum. Doctors seem at a loss. Prescribed medications have not worked. We believe that it is associated with her Lupus. Has your wife been tested for Lupus? If anyone knows a treatment I also am interested.

Erythema nodosum is a very painfull condition usually only affects lower limbs, even the slghtest weight from blankets on a bed is painful on the legs. This condition in very common in early pregnancy and generally lasts from 6 to 12 months but always seems to clear up in this time frame, sometimes it can be followed up by a bout of TB so it is advisable to check for this condition in the months after it clears and possibly up to 2/3 years later. It will clear without medication but it remains very painful for quite a lenghty period.--- On Tue, 8/5/08, Norton, Steve <stephen.norton wrote:Norton, Steve <stephen.nortonRE: Erythema NodosumTo:
