Guest guest
I'll check out Osarka, thanks. I recently found a guy in a near by town that is selling purified water. He has been there 21 years and knows his stuff. Although it is not steam distilled, and is RO water, it runs through a bunch of purifiers--a $30,000 set up! He can regulate the ppm that is in the water. He usually sells at 8 ppm, but can go down to 7 for me. Well, he can actually go down farther, but he won't because to get lower than that he has to empty all his tanks, and start new, and that would be wasting over a thousand gallons of water. ;-) But his water even TASTES like distilled, because of its purity. So I'm going to try using it to make a batch of CS and see how that turns out. I'm thinking of making my own solar distiller. That should be pretty pure. What do you mean your machine rejected it? What type of machine do you have? I have a meter to test with, but my SilverPuppy will take whatever I put in. Just won't make good CS with bad water though. ;-) Samala, Renee ---- Yeah, i bought from Walgreen and my machine rejected it. Now i Use Osarka distilled water. Guest guest
Renee I use a SilverGen 6. It can detect if the distilled water is good or not. It stops working if the water is not acceptable. Melly
Guest guest
Well, that's a nice little addition to a CS maker! So, I guess I'll be trying some Ozarka water too, along with the water the SA guy makes up. It's good to have a back up water supply if I can't get to SA, which is a half hour away from here. At least I can run downtown to our grocery store and buy the Ozarka. thanks. Samala, Renee ---- I use a SilverGen 6. It can detect if the distilled water is good or not.
