Cody has been sick all day today and got him fluids at the vets just a short while ago. I HATE chemo don't get me wrong but so far it's the only thing that has sent his nodes into remission even if it's not for very long anymore. Now in between nodes going down I am trying to give him the oleander, IP6 and CS but don't think i'm giving Cody enough CS. I give him about 2 tsps. daily. I gave him oleander first time last evening and it seemed to make him even more nauseous. I didn't give it to him yet today but have to give him anitbiotics because his wbc went down to just 2 last time with ccnu chemo. I feel like i'm between a rock and a hard place all the time! Guest guest Posted July 22, 2008 Report Share Posted July 22, 2008 Well, Cody has battled hard, but is an older pooch. Even so, a year may not be so bad and so we will hope and pray for the best. Not many know about oleander, though I am doing what I can to change that. For that matter, not very many know of any alternatives at all. As far as the colloidal silver - just pour the pure stuff out and let him drink all he wants. Put water beside it. If he does not drink any, then add some to the water and remove the dish with silver. The more you give him the better, and you really cannot give him too much. I am thinking about the guy in CureZone who had the 12 year old dog with the inoperable brain tumor who gave his dog pure colloidal silver to drink for the rest of his life and he lived 5 more years. The cost would of course be prohibitive to do so with commercial silver, so I would say that if he seems to do well short term, get yourself a good home silver machine like the Silver Puppy and make your own. Guest guest Posted July 22, 2008 Report Share Posted July 22, 2008 Tony, Cody was diagnosed with lymphoma at age 7. Our goal was for him to reach age 9 and he just did! Our goal is now ten. For a small dog that is fairly young. Our other shetland lived to be 16. We took Cody from a strange abusive situation and think maybe this is how he may have gotten the cancer. This lady was always using chemicals around the little guy. His personality is like no other, not just saying this but that is what so many say that meet him even the vets. I just hope that all we are doing now will help him. I am sure Cody will not drink the CS by itself. I wind up having to syringe it into him daily. I just ordered three bottles of CS from Utopia as the other ones are almost gone. He's not doing well at all today again. Will try something new to entice him once again. I know he has been a source of much love and joy in your home and anyone can tell how much you care for him. I doubt that any pooch anywhere has been more loved or better cared for. At least he ate a small amount of yogurt but not enough to sustain him. The chemo this time has done a real number on the little guy. I couldn't even give him his supplements during the day because he has nothing in his tummy and oleander says give with food. I do give him his CS and IP6 though. Sure wish I had tried the oleander program before we started the chemo over a year ago. In any case I will have to take him for fluids again today. If he didn't you could force feed him every day, twice a day to keep his body nourished and also to have food in his stomach for drugs and supplements.
