Guest guest
Tammatha,That is really interesting. I will check out that research study. If you have any other suggestions, I would really appreciate any advice. I really don't know that I was eating a balanced diet - I had a tendency to skip meals and not eat enough throughout the day. I would find myself hitting that 3pm slump. Anyway, thanks for the heads up about the book. Meat is not healthy for the human body, we are not designed to digest it, our intestines are not short like the dog & cat, therefore it putrifies. Also, we are not given the canine/feline mouth to rip tear/rip meat. Nor does it help with malnutrition. A very important facinating book to read, a ten year research study done by a father (PhD & son team) "The China Study" a must read on what we really need to be eating and all we need to be eating for complete health. It sums it up perfectly.  Tammatha - May oleander soup Saturday, July 19, 2008 8:17 PM Re: Answers for Robyn Janna,More and more I am hearing this very same thing from people that are ona vegan diet. Malnutrition is, indeed, one cause for low bloodplatelets. Please add some meat to your diet. Chicken and fish. Andactually it may be that you may need to go on a high protein diet untilyour platelet count is normal. Did your doctor give you specific foodsto eat?I am glad you ordered the oleander. In the meantime, I wonder of JonBarron's Blood Support would help you. Tony will be back tomorrow andhe can address this. Lower than normal blood platelets is a verygeneral term and although it should cause concern, it may not be time topanic. It may be a simple call to action. And it sounds like yourscan be corrected by diet modifications. I still would stay away frombeef, but right now I would definitely add that much needed protein.Hugs, oleander soup , cr8iveart wrote:>>>> Melly,> Did you do liver flushes as well? I have started juicing again,was/have been eating reallyhealthy(organic), clean water, etc, etc. Ordered OPC - just want to feelbetter. I know that anxiety is not healthy, but this one has me stumped.Dr is attributing it to malnutrition with being vegan and not gettingadequate protein. Guest guest
Janna, Your welcome my dear. Seriously, the book is compelling, I had a difficult time putting it down, it was very unbiased, easy to read, concise. Another book definately worth mentioning that has recently come out (just last month or two I believe) also intriguing "The World Peace Diet" (by Will Tuttle) reading it you sit there and say to yourself... god this makes so much sense. I believe many people today get confused/overwhelmed, it happens to the best of us...we are getting/absorbing an amazing amount of information (actually we are bombarded) daily on what and how to do and be with just about everything. I just think it is important to go back to simplicity, how we are meant/designed to be not what the human race has become. Learned behavior is just that, learned behavior, instinctly we are smarter than we think.
