It sounds to me like you did a wonderful job. Normally it should last

at least a year, but I prefer a fresh batch every six months. I

suppose you could have used the seed pods, but I would advise against

it - the toxins are heaviest there. Any length is fine so long as

they lie flat within the pot. And coffee filters are much better than

paper towels.

 

I have no answer on the pressure cooker part.
