The effects of A. blazei extracted fractions (AB-BDM-1 to AB-BDM-10) on human peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) proliferation were determined on the basis of the uptake of tritiated thymidine. The results indicated that AB-BDM-2 fraction suppressed PBMC proliferation activated with phytohemagglutinin. The inhibitory action of AB-BDM-2 did not involve direct cytotoxicity. Cell-cycle analysis indicated that AB-BDM-2 arrested the cell-cycle progression of activated PBMCs from the G1 transition to the S phase. In an attempt to further localize the point in the cell cycle where arrest occurred, we examined a set of key regulatory events leading to the G1/S boundary, including gene expression of interleukin-2 (IL-2), interleukin-4 (IL-4), interferon-¦Ã (IFN-y), and cyclin D. AB-BDM-2 suppressed, in activated PBMCs, the production and messenger RNA (mRNA) expression of IL-2, IL-4, IFN-¦Ã, and cyclin D in dose-dependent fashion. AB-BDM-2 did not affect nitric oxide production or levels of inducible nitric oxide synthetase mRNA in PBMCs stimulated with PHA. The suppressant effects of AB-BDM-2 on the proliferation of PBMC activated by PHA therefore appear to be mediated, at least in part, through inhibition of early transcripts of PBMCs, especially those of important cytokines IL-2, IL-4, and IFN-y, cyclin D, and the arrest of cell-cycle progression in the cells. We suggest that immunomodulatory agents are contained in AB-BDM-2 separated from A. blazei. Revue / Journal Title The Journal of laboratory and clinical medicine (J. lab. clin. med.) Guest guest
Hey guys, I have poor news. My bloodwork shows that cancer is increasing exponentially, like a ski slope. I now have ascites, fluid buildup in my abdomen. Gonna start chemo ASAP in a hope to stop the ascites, which is very bad for the body. I've had it before. How long can it take for OS to kick in. I've been taking it for 2 months, Also been taking LDN for 4 months (Dee says LDN can take 6 months to slow cancer doubling). It's 5 years since I was DX with ovarian cancer. After two courses of chemo, the second course ended over two years ago with no remission. I searched the Web, and started the Budwig Protocol, so I did it for two years. Four months ago, I realized with my body, that it was no longer working. Three months ago, bloodwork shows great increases in breast cancer markers, palpable tumor in abdomen. Ovarian marker nearly down to normal. Did more research, so I started oleander soup two months ago. I also stopped Budwig when I read that bovine hormones can be implicated in hormone-positive cancers. No difference. Tumors growing rapidly, still contained in my abdomen. I know that I can take oleander with chemo. Agaricus and other mushrooms? I was taking 5 BetaGlucan caps in the morning; but it seems that ABS mushrooms would be better. I'm nauseas a lot, have diahrrea. Not caused by OS, but by cancer. Rhoda PS. I've been offline most of the past three weeks. Will have Internet Access from now on I hope, Rhoda
Guest guest
Rhoda -I am sorry to hear the news, but glad to hear from you again. You hang in there. You are a proven fighter and we are with you in this fight. Most cancers should see improvement within 30-60 days, but some do take longer to gain an upper hand - and some have taken fully a year to completely win the battle. You might consider increasing the oleander a bit. There is no way of knowing how potent the soup you made is - when you make it yourself there can be pretty wide variances due to the time of the year, the individual plant, soil conditions, etc.How much of my protocol are you following? Are you using inositol/IP6? I think it may be very useful to list what Marc Swanepoel says about his OPC supplement (which is made now to very exact standards by and actual pharmaceutical manufacturing company):Cancer patients should see their cancer markers go down within 30 - 60 days PROVIDED they do a few other things at the same time as taking the S/OPC. These other things are: (1) Cut back on ALL animal proteins (meat, milk, eggs, yoghurt, fish). (2) Get rid of stressful situations in your life (3) Put the traumatic situations in your past behind you otherwise they will surely kill you. (4) Go to bed by 10:30 pm (5) Drink enough water (6 - 8 glasses per day). (6) Eat lots of fresh fruit as well as vegetables. (7) Get at least half an hour of direct sun per day (8) Do the liver cleanse below 5-day liver cleanse. It is best to have day 4 on a Saturday or at a time when you are staying at home. Day 1: Drink 1 liter (4 cups) of apple juice during the day. Eat as normal otherwise. Day 2: Drink another liter of apple juice. Eat normally Day 3: Drink a 3rd liter of apple juice. Eat normally Day 4: Do not take any sold food after lunch time 6pm - Take one level tablespoon of Epsom salt in a glass of water 8pm - Take another tablespoon of Epsom salt in a glass of water. You may find that you already have to take a trip to the toilet before the 8pm Epsom salt. 10pm - Mix one half glass of olive oil and three quarter glass of freshly squeezed grape fruit juice by shaking it very well in a jar with a lid so that it mixes well and immediately get into bed after drinking the mixture. You will probably make more than one trip to the toilet during the night as well as during the next day. Day 5: 6am: Take another tablespoon of Epsom salt in a glass of water 8am: Take one final tablespoon of Epsom salt in a glass of water. You will find that many gallstones from the liver will be passed and one will notice them in the toilet. They will vary in size from about pin head size to 10mm. Gallstones in the liver are a major cause of many health problems. The above liver cleanse can be repeated every month until one finds that for two months in succession no more gallstones are passed. The liver will then be clean. (You can read about this in much more detail in Andreas Moritz's book ' "The liver and gallbladder miracle cleanse" which you can download from his site at www.ener-chi.com). The suggested dosages for the liquid and capsules are as follows: Sutherlandia OPC capsules Start off by taking 1 capsule with breakfast for 2 days. Increase dosage to 1 capsule twice per day (2 caps total) with breakfast and lunch for a further 2 days. For more serious ailments increase dosage to 2 capsules twice per day (4 caps total) with breakfast and lunch for 1 month. If no improvement, increase dosage to 3 capsules twice per day (6 caps total) with breakfast and lunch for 2 months. Sutherlandia OPC (Liquid) Start off by taking 5ml (1 teaspoon) once per day during mealtime for 2 days. Increase dosage to 5 ml twice per day with meals for a further 2 days. Increase dosage to 5ml three times per day with meals for 1 month. If no improvement, increase dosage to 10ml three times per day for 2 months. If still no response, the dosage can be increased to 45ml per day (3 x 15ml)Note that with Marc's supplement, the normal therapeutic dosage is listed at 5 ml three times per day, and I believe that is equivalent to the 3 tablespoons per day of OS made according to directions. HOWEVER, Marc recommends doubling and then tripling the dose if there is no response. While I cannot recommend that much of an increase with oleander soup, I will say that Marc has had well over 100 cancer successes in his native South Africa over the past five years and in fact the only users of OPC for cancer there who are not still alive and well are 3 who were in their last handful of days and were unable to hold down the extract and 5 who succumbed to organ failure as a result of prior chemo. Of all the rest, only two had their cancers return and both of them stopped taking any OPC at all and returned to their old diets and lifestyle. In fact, if it were me and I had not gotten the results I wanted from OS in two full months of use, I would immediately opt to change to the OPC. When oleander soup first began, the only alternative was to qualify with the Salud Integral clinic for Anvirzel, complete with application, medical records, etc. and to pay about $2700 for a three month supply which was not covered by insurance. I still love oleander soup, and that is what I take myself - but with the advent of OPC, a quality made product made in a WHO approved lab with exact standards should be within the reach of just about anyone. In fact, should I ever get cancer (unlikely as that is so long as I take the OS), I will not hesitate to immediately order myself some OPC - and I would opt for the extract simply because that is what has been around longest and proven itself, though I have no reason whatsoever to doubt the capsule version. The ABM mushroom has had some very good successes against cancer, particularly breast cancer and it is completely compatible with oleander. In fact, when Marc first began formulating the OPC, the ABM was a key component (but it and the other rainforest botanicals were replaced by the Sutherlandia Frutescens). I also like another of his original rainforest botanicals a lot - cat's claw.FYI, the Cell Forte Max3 product from Utopia Silver contains cat's claw (and maitake mushroom too, though I prefer the ABM mushroom by a large margin).I am glad you are back on the the net with us. Please keep us informed and know that we are here for you.Hugs,Tonyoleander soup , "Rhoda Mead" <hummingbird541 wrote:>> *Hey guys, I have poor news. Guest guest
Rhoda, I am so sorry to hear this. Keep in mind, you have just basically started with oleander. I read Tony's reply to you. I would follow his advice to the letter. I want you to know that we are here for you. Please keep us posted as to your progress. Guest guest
So sorry to read this Rhoda! You looked so wonderfully when I saw you last time! If anyone can manage this, I have a feeling it's you, girlfriend. Seriously. You know so much and are so active in learning more and trying new things and so focused. I've seen such a frenzy of postings about something called butyrate and artemisin that people are using to aggressively get their cancer under control. With my chemo brain and all now I can't recall exactly what the function of these two actually is. But I believe the discussion threads were on the LDN lists and even on the cancer cures lists. Where are you now, by the way? Big warm loving hug to you, Angel agaricus Posted by: "Rhoda Mead" hummingbird541 rhodamead Wed Jul 16, 2008 4:30 pm (PDT) *Hey guys, I have poor news.
