Guest guest
Hi Robyn -Sorry it took so long, but I was waiting for one of the items you inquired about (Iodine) to be added to the Utopia Silver website. Here are my answers to your questions.Q. I have been doing a mostly raw diet for 3 months and budwig for 2. Should I still cleanse and with what? A. Periodic cleansing is always a good idea. Here is the cleanse recommended by Marc Swanepoel:5-day liver cleanse. It is best to have day 4 on a Saturday or at a time when you are staying at home. Day 1: Drink 1 liter (4 cups) of apple juice during the day. Eat as normal otherwise. Day 2: Drink another liter of apple juice. Eat normally Day 3: Drink a 3rd liter of apple juice. Eat normally Day 4: Do not take any sold food after lunch time 6pm - Take one level tablespoon of Epsom salt in a glass of water 8pm - Take another tablespoon of Epsom salt in a glass of water. You may find that you already have to take a trip to the toilet before the 8pm Epsom salt. 10pm - Mix one half glass of olive oil and three quarter glass of freshly squeezed grape fruit juice by shaking it very well in a jar with a lid so that it mixes well and immediately get into bed after drinking the mixture. You will probably make more than one trip to the toilet during the night as well as during the next day. Day 5: 6am: Take another tablespoon of Epsom salt in a glass of water 8am: Take one final tablespoon of Epsom salt in a glass of water. You will find that many gallstones from the liver will be passed and one will notice them in the toilet. They will vary in size from about pin head size to 10mm. Gallstones in the liver are a major cause of many health problems. The above liver cleanse can be repeated every month until one finds that for two months in succession no more gallstones are passed. The liver will then be clean. (You can read about this in much more detail in Andreas Moritz's book ' "The liver and gallbladder miracle cleanse" which you can download from his site at www.ener-chi.com).Q. How do I test for heavy metals and how do I get rid of them?A. Testing for heavy metals is a bit involved and not without cost. Here is a good source of information:http://www.beatcfsandfms.org/html/CheckForHg.html In addition to the EDFA mentioned above (which is available at Utopia Silver), Inositol/IP6 (also available at Utopia Silver) is a good heavy metal chelator and a good product to use for cancer and cellular health too.My personal favorite heavy metal chelator product is the one formulated by Jon Barron, whose products are among the very best to be found anywhere - Metal Magic .Q. Where is the best place to get iodine?A. There are a number of souces of the three main iodine products I am familiar with (Iodoral, Lugols and Magnescent). Most of the best iodine products are quite pricey - but then you only take a few drops at a time and so a small bottle lasts a long time. You can get the Magnescent type iodine at Utopia Silver, but it was only added to their product line yesterday and the best way to find it is, once you are on their site, do a search for "iodine" and it will take you to the product.Q. Is the best place for oleander the opc suthaland capsules?A. The three best places are the Salud Integral Clinic for the patented medicine Anvirzel, raw oleander plants to use according to instructions to make your own "oleander soup " home remedy, and the Sutherlandia OPC which is an inexpensive option that is made to strict standards by a pharmaceutical manufacturing companyhttp://www.sutherlandiaopc.com Q. Where do we get the trace minerals from Utah?A. From Utopia Silver . I prefer the capsules.Q. Where do we get the recommended zapperMy suggestion would be to join CureZone and contact the member who goes by the ID of Parazapper. If you have problems locating him, let me know once you have joined.I hope that has answered all of your questions. If I missed anything, just let me know. Guest guest
I especially recommend a cleanser to anyone who has mets to the liver or liver cancer. I also recommend that a person with such cancers, or any kind of cancer, take steps to protect and regenerate the liver and assure bile flow with: Coffee enemas Milk Thistle Alpha Lipoic Acid Selenium Turmeric Coconut Oil Lecithin with choline Beet Juice I don't have cancer as far as I know and I do all of the above except the enemas and the beet juice. Guest guest
Everyone should be cleansing their liver. 3-4 initial cleanses and then 3-4x’s yearly. The liver is the main filter of the body and just like your air conditioner filter, it needs to be cleaned. For those with cancer, cleansing should be the FIRST thing that you begin with along with implementing a very healthy diet – I recommend the Budwig Protocol. I have just formulated a new product called LivaPure. It is an all organic or wild-crafted herbal formula that contains 12 herbs that will cleanse and support the liver. It works well with the Liver/Gallbladder cleanse that Marc is recommending (same one that I recommend but with a few changes) in that you pour the whole 2-ounces of LivaPure into the organic, raw apple juice and drink as directed. It also contains wild-crafted Chanca Piedra which helps to break up stones. You will also find out why is it better to use Milk Thistle Seed over silymarin. http://www.oasisadvancedwellness.com/products/livapure.html If interested in trying LivaPure I am offering a 10% discount through Sunday midnight to several of the forums that I frequent. Use discount code: DISCOUNT10 during checkout. Another important cleanse for all cancer patients is a parasite cleanse. 90% of the population has parasites and fungus. Cancer patients always have yeast issues. Parasites will actually deprive you of the nutrition that you are putting into your body. Keep your body clean and cleansed so that it can actually absorb, transport and utilize all the good food and supplements. It’s just as important as keeping your whole digestive tract clean and moving. Bottom line is that cleansing is one way to give HUGE support and boost to the immune system. Tony, I had a fatty liver when I was diagnosed with colon cancer. After doing the protocol that healed the cancer, the fatty liver was gone also. Have a great day everyone – it is HOT, HOT, HOT in Houston – don’t need a sauna, just walk outside for a few minutes! Guest guest
Often there are no obvious signs and a fatty liver may easily be missed during a routine examination. From Health A to Z: " Also called steatosis, fatty liver can be a temporary or long-term condition, which is not harmful itself, but may indicate some other type of problem. Left untreated, it can contribute to other illnesses. It is usually reversible once the cause of the problem is diagnosed and corrected. The liver is the organ responsible for changing fats eaten in the diet to types of fat that can be stored and used by the body. Triglycerides are one of the forms of fat stored by the body and used for energy and new cell formation. The break down of fats in the liver can be disrupted by alcoholism, malnutrition, pregnancy, or poisoning. In fatty liver, large droplets of fat, containing mostly triglycerides, collect within cells of the liver. The condition is generally not painful and may go unnoticed for a long period of time. In severe cases, the liver can increase to over three times its normal size and may be painful and tender " In my case, I noticed my liver was somewhat larger and tender. The right side of my body below the rib cage was a little larger and it felt tender when touched. It is correctable with proper diet and correct supplementation. oleander soup , <toreadpeoplehealthinfo wrote: > > Tony, > > How does one know if one has a fatty liver? > > Angel > > > > Re: Answers for Robyn > Posted by: " Tony " > Wed Jul 16, 2008 12:41 pm (PDT) > I especially recommend a cleanser to anyone who has mets to the liver > or liver cancer. > > I also recommend that a person with such cancers, or any kind of > cancer, take steps to protect and regenerate the liver and assure bile > flow with: > > Coffee enemas > Milk Thistle > Alpha Lipoic Acid > Selenium > Turmeric > Coconut Oil > Lecithin with choline > Beet Juice > > I don't have cancer as far as I know and I do all of the above except > the enemas and the beet juice. Guest guest
Mine was diagnosed from a surgery - the dr who performed the surgery said you might have a fatty liver. Subsequent ultrasound and ct scan showed nothing but a cyst in the liver, supposedly from contraceptives - no "rippling" or disruptions in the surface or body of the liver and no enlargement. I have had nothing but the comment from the dr and low platelet count. So sometimes none of the tests show anything. Janna -------------- Original message from "Tony" : -------------- Often there are no obvious signs and a fatty liver may easily be missed during a routine examination. Guest guest
I was also diagnosed with fatty liver. No meds were given. I got rid of it by juicing. I juiced Dandelion leaves, beet root, celery, lemon, granny apple, kale, and some other greens. I also took a tablespoon of virgin coconut oil with 1/4 tsp turmeric powder mixed in it. I also stopped eating meat. We now eat mostly vegetables and fruits. Fish and other seafood and sometimes chicken once in a while. Guest guest
Yes, my diagnosis was done by MD. Ultra sound of my internal organs were done. Two years in a row i had it. Guest guest
Melly,Did you do liver flushes as well? I have had ultra sound and CT scan, both of which show nothing, normal size liver, no enlarged veins, or anything(a cyst they attribute to birth control), normal liver functions on blood test, just lower than normal blood platelets, which has me really scared. I have started juicing again,was/have been eating really healthy(organic), clean water, etc, etc. Ordered OPC - just want to feel better. I know that anxiety is not healthy, but this one has me stumped. Dr is attributing it to malnutrition with being vegan and not getting adequate protein. Guest guest
Janna, More and more I am hearing this very same thing from people that are on a vegan diet. Malnutrition is, indeed, one cause for low blood platelets. Please add some meat to your diet. Chicken and fish. And actually it may be that you may need to go on a high protein diet until your platelet count is normal. Did your doctor give you specific foods to eat? I am glad you ordered the oleander. In the meantime, I wonder of Jon Barron's Blood Support would help you. Tony will be back tomorrow and he can address this. Lower than normal blood platelets is a very general term and although it should cause concern, it may not be time to panic. It may be a simple call to action. And it sounds like yours can be corrected by diet modifications. I still would stay away from beef, but right now I would definitely add that much needed protein. Guest guest
I 've never known of a malnourished vegan (if done properly). Just like any diet one needs knowledge of what to eat. Meat is not healthy for the human body, we are not designed to digest it, our intestines are not short like the dog & cat, therefore it putrifies. Also, we are not given the canine/feline mouth to rip tear/rip meat. Nor does it help with malnutrition. A very important facinating book to read, a ten year research study done by a father (PhD & son team) "The China Study" a must read on what we really need to be eating and all we need to be eating for complete health. It sums it up perfectly. Tammatha - May oleander soup Saturday, July 19, 2008 8:17 PM Re: Answers for Robyn Janna,More and more I am hearing this very same thing from people that are ona vegan diet. Guest guest
May,The dr that I found is one of two that I know of in TN who does breast thermography. He is the one who suggested iodine to help deal with the breast cysts. He believes that as much as one can, healing should be nutritionally based. He has a product that he recommends that is a whey protein shake from New Zealand, where they certify that they use no synthetic hormones. He has suggested a protein shake made with water or almond milk with breakfast. During the day, a small amount of protein (nuts, hardboiled egg or egg whites) and fruit as snack, and fish/chicken with lunch so that I have the majority of my protein intake before the middle of the afternoon. Evening meal can be bean/lentil/brown rice and veggies. He has added a supplement that has Vitamin C, Glutamine, N-Acetyl Cysteine, Alpha Lipoic Acid, and Milk Thistle - I think that Tony would approve of that one ;-). I really feel that I needed help getting out of this. I am going to do a liver cleanse before the OPC arrives. I am going to do more juicing, though. I had really dropped off with that, but I think that the blood/liver could certainly use it. Thanks, May, you always say things in such a positive way. It helps me every time I read messages that you write. -------------- Original message from " May" <luellamay129: -------------- Janna, More and more I am hearing this very same thing from people that are on a vegan diet. Guest guest
Robyn, All my blood tests are nomal except for my triglyceride which is 187 but i don't worry about it. It is just a little bit up. My blood sugar was 6.8 so also just a bit elevated. But then you have to consider that pharma researchers/scientists keeps lowering the maximum level of lipids and sugar so we buy more of their products. I don't buy their latest guides. Cholesterol before lipitor was discovered was acceptable at 250. In a meeting the doctors/manufacturers were heard to agree to peg it down to 200 to sell the drugs. Now they want 100!!! That will make our arteries brittle!!!! Go tot he website of Weston price to see how pharma manipulates things. Being vegan should not affect liver if done properly. I think being vegan can make you vulnerable to have low protein. Melly
Guest guest
Robyn, I forgot to answer your first question. No i did not do a liver flush. For protein in take, bee pollen is rich in protein. We only need 25g a day. A teaspoon of bee pollen contains 5 grams of protein. So if you eat a salad for lunch and dinner and sprinkle two teaspoons in each of them you get 20 g. So if you eat a salad for lunch and dinner and sprinkle two teaspoons in each of them you get 20 g.Melly One of the problems I have with meeting of "minimum requirements" is that you have no idea how much of this pollen is absorbed. Certainly, there is also the chance that you may ingest something that interferes with absorption as well. Why you need proteinFor active individuals who are trying to build a better body, consuming enough protein each day should be a priority.Protein plays a key role in building lean muscle mass, providing building blocks for recovery and recuperation, and preventing muscle protein breakdown. Whole-food sources containing high quality protein can be inconvenient to consume regularly and timely to prepare. Due to the inconveniences associated with whole-foods, protein powders have become the ideal option for meeting daily protein requirements.Protein is a vital component to building and maintaining a strong, healthy body, especially for athletes and for those engaging in intense exercise. Studies with both strength and endurance athletes have clearly indicated that exercise increases the need for protein and amino acids. The number of people participating in athletic activities is increasing, and high quality protein sources are in demand! People want these quality protein sources to be convenient, quick, and coincide with their modern-day busy lifestyles. The Highest Biological ValueThere is no doubt that whey protein has become one of the hottest selling supplements on the market, and for good reason. Whey protein has one of the highest biological values of any protein, due to its excellent amino acid profile, solubility and digestibility. A high biological value means it may “yield†more usable grams of amino acids. It also contains the highest concentration of branched chain amino acids (BCAA) of any single protein source. The BCAA content is important to individuals who exercise because BCAA’s are an integral part of muscle metabolism and are the first amino acids sacrificed during muscle protein breakdown. Boasting possibly the highest biological value of any naturally occurring protein, the reputation and popularity of whey protein is well deserved. However, recent scientific evidence suggests the benefits of whey protein for athletes may go well beyond its ability to supply quality amino acids to hungry muscles. Protein scientists have discovered that whey, in its natural state, contains a wide variety of bioactive compounds generally referred to as “protein microfractions.†These powerful compounds may provide a number of positive biological effects to hard-training athletes.Biologically-Active Microfractions in WheyIn the past, most of the methods of whey processing and isolation used extreme temperatures and acidic conditions, destroying these valuable microfractions. Only recently have new extraction techniques been developed and employed. These techniques may make it possible to isolate and stabilize protein microfractions in a finished whey protein powder. The two most advanced techniques are known as cross-flow microfiltration and ion exchange. How much protein to take and when Research suggests that hard training athletes should consume approximately one gram of protein per pound of body weight every day, spread out over 5 to 6 meals daily for proper assimilation. The recommended amount for sedentary people is 0.8 grams of protein per pound of body weight per day. Research indicates that athletes may need a higher intake of protein, to compensate for the stress they place on their bodies through intensive training. A good time to take a protein supplement is right before you go to sleep at night, since during this time your body assimilates protein for the first few hours, then recycles and breaks it down for several hours. You can also consume protein first thing in the morning to help replenish some of the protein that was broken down during the sleep cycle. Another suggestion is to ingest a fast acting protein/carbohydrate drink, immediately following your workout. At this time your body’s metabolism is primed to feed muscle tissue.Source: Experimental and Applied Sciences
