Guest guest
Marc, I see one of the things you suggested was to cut back on meats, proteins, however when I receive the oleander for Cody he always gets meat daily which is high in protein. Should I be worried about this, I do know grains and carbs are not good for a furkid with cancer. I know you were speaking about people mostly but now I wonder about Cody's diet..... Guest guest
Bonnie & Cody, The suggestion to cut down on animal proteins is only applicable to human beings. Dogs have a different digestive system and they can metabolize animal proteins better than humans. However, it is still not advisable to give them only cooked meat because the natural enzymes that break down the meat are destroyed in the cooking. One reason why domestic animals are getting typical human diseases are that they are not eating their natural foods. They often share our unhealthy eating habits. Guest guest
Bonnie & Codyboy,Let me tell you a story about a woman I knew. I had just been diagnosed with CLL and purchased a medical ozone generator and started taking ozone. Subsequently, she developed some bad fibroids which her physician said she'd just have to put up with until she reached a certain age and then they'd do a hysterectomy. My friend purchased a medical ozone generator and started taking ozone and the problem went away. THEN . . . her poor boxer puppy developed a cancerous growth on one of his legs. The prognosis wasn't good she was told. Instead of listening to the vet, she put a bag over the dog's leg and inserted the ozone hose into the bag and gave him daily treatments of this. Then the tumor went away or was reabsorbed. That was about six years ago. The dog is alive, frisky, and very healthy. Now for the good part. She also put him on a vegetarian diet at the time she started the ozone treatments. He's still on that diet. I cannot tell you have healthy this dog is.That may answer your question. Treat Cody's problem as though he was a human. Avoid the high amounts of protein, at least until he gets healthy again. I don't know if my friend fed her dog grains and carbs, but I do know he likes carrots and things like that.Allenoleander soup From: evian793Date: Wed, 16 Jul 2008 08:28:13 -0400Re: Re: Herxheimer Reaction/Oleander/Marc Marc, I see one of the things you suggested was to cut back on meats, proteins, however when I receive the oleander for Cody he always gets meat daily which is high in protein. Guest guest
I agree with Marc. Dogs should eat raw meats, some fruits & veggies. Cats only need meat they are strictly carnivorous. Neither does well with grain. It is why you hear about so many cats dying of renal failure. Their poor kidneys are working so hard to digest the dried up kibble they are being fed. Kibble kills our pets. They need the enzymes in the raw food just as we do. Sure we domesticated them but it doesn't mean their natural needs have changed because of it. Cooked food is dead...which is why there is so much illness and disease in humans & now in our pets.
