Guest guest
I need some help from members with experience in using the soup and Sutherlandia OPC for cancer. My wife is very sensitive to a lot of otherwise therapeutic substances. She has breast cancer with tumors spread throughout the nodes in her chest wall and both armpits. Her reconstructed (TRAM) left breast is rapidly becoming one hard, flat mass under her skin. I've been trying for weeks to get her on a dose of SOPC appropriate for an advanced cancer. She can tolerate 1 tsp three times a day with mild GI distress. She can tolerate 2 tsps three times a day if the doses are delivered along with turmeric and ginger mixed with organic juice. It took us a long time to get to this point. On this dose her tumors are still growing. I am trying to get her onto 1 tablespoon three times a day. Even mixed with the curcumen and ginger she gets GI distress and diarrhea on anything over 2 teaspoons. I'd like to give her part of her dosage via DMSO. We tried that today. She did not react badly to it. What I am wondering is how efficient this would be as a carrier. Are the active components (oleandrin etc.) sufficiently small in molecular weight to be carried by DMSO? Has anyone tried this before? I should also add that I have filtered the SOPC a couple of times (we are on our second bottle). We also use some homemade soup. Both versions give her identical reactions at the same doses. I'd appreciate any input from experienced members. Thanks. Mike

I had thought about using DMSO with the OPC before and found that the majority of the compounds in oleander extract have a molecular weight less than 1000 daltons (e.g. Oleandrin- 576.7, Beta-sitosterol-414.72,Quercetin-302.24,Linoleic-acid-280.45, Oleic-acid-282.46). I dont really know if it made any difference to how the compounds were assimilated but it didnt have any negative effects anyway. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Your response was quite helpful. It goes along with what Marc told me yesterday. He indicated that it might be necessary to up the dosage 30% to match the same dosage taken orally. That's what we are doing right now. I'll keep people apprised of the results. Again, thanks.Mikesimonflynn22 <simon041082oleander soup Sent: Thursday, July 10, 2008 12:22:36 AM Re: need some advice I'd like to give her part of her dosage via DMSO. We > tried that today.
