Guest guest
It appears that you got some of the OPC that Marc had made by a local herbalist who was not as careful with the filtering as he should have been. All you need to do is take your remaining OPC and filter it through a few layers of unbleached coffee filters and you should be fine. Now all the OPC is made by a pharmaceutical manufacturing company to very exact and consistent standards, including very fine filtration. The herbalist was only used for a very short time when word of the successes of the OPC caused demand to outstrip Marc's ability to make the needed volume of OPC. Early on there was some debate here in this group (imagine that!) about the diarrhea and other relatively mild side effects (nausea, mild headaches, mild fever being the most common) of home-made " oleander soup " , which OPC modeled itself after. I found that Anvirzel and oleander soup were made essentially the same way, yet Anvirzel usually had few if any side effects and they were always quite mild if present at all. The homemade " soup " on the other hand frequently had side effects. Nothing earth shattering - but loose stools (or outright diarrhea) were common, and the nausea, headaches and fever a bit stronger. It should be noted that almost everyone who had side effects usually adjusted to them fairly quickly as they gradually worked their way up to the maximum dose. As a matter of fact, adjusting to the side effects was a major reason for advising that people begin with small doses and work their way up. Since there was no similar doseage adjustment and no similar side effects for Anvirzel, I decided to do a bit of research. What I found was that there were some larger organic molecules still remaining in the " soup " that were mostly to blame. Whereas Anvirzel was made using medical filters of less than 4 microns, the people who were making the soup mostly used a few layers of paper towels (and one notable group member argued for using just a folded bath towel!). I began telling people to use extra filtration and recommended a final extra filtration using multiple layers of coffee filters. Though the debate continued for awhile, those who used the extra filtration - including my own 85 year old uncle - reported no or very mild side effects, essentially the same as did Anvirzel users. Now, it has been proven conclusively that filtration is the key. Anyone who experiences prolonged bouts of diarrhea or other side effects is advised to refilter their " soup " (or older OPC) using a few unbleached coffee filters. It will probably be well worth the effort. oleander soup , " sunlovernv " <Marcia_Grogan wrote: > > I am new to the forum, so I hope I'm doing this right. Guest guest
Tony: Thank you so much. I will filter it and see what happens. I know it's not our diet--for a year and a half, our diet, cleanses, etc. has been exactly as you describe in the " anti-cancer protocol " . So the filtering has to be the answer. I'll try it and let you know. Thanks again, Marcia--- In oleander soup , " Tony " wrote: > > It appears that you got some of the OPC that Marc had made by a local > herbalist who was not as careful with the filtering as he should have > been.
