My heart is breaking for this wonderful person in my life and if you don't hear from me soon you will know why. Guest guest Posted June 28, 2008 Report Share Posted June 28, 2008 Dear Bonnie, I am so sorry for the loss of your dad... I've lost loved ones in the past and what can anyone say? It's such a private, intimate, direct and abysmal hurt. There is one thing I realized when I lost my brother not long ago. I travelled back East to take care of him for several months. My mom and his wife were really upset and we all suffered under the strain. After the fact, I *felt* a difference as others who knew us offered kind words, spent time and showed us their sincerity in different ways. I was rather stunned by the difference it made in *lightening* the load. All I can do is offer my most sincere condolences to you and yours over your loss but also, please reach out to us if you feel inclined because those of us who have lost a loved one can empathize and perhaps for a few moments help ease the burden.
