Guest guest
We are liberal-minded about some things but follow the US lead in many others. One of the great advantages is our 4 party system forcing the Conservatives to negotiate on many important issues. We have many drawbacks to our system, please don't get me wrong. Many of us have gone nuts contacting our MP's about this Bill and written post cards etc. Might be interesting to note that we live near the town where Rene Caisse ran her Essiac clinic, in fact, it is my dh's hometown. We returned from 2 years in Central America and received a shock at how everyone looked so old and unhealthy! As a mom of 2 and in my 40's I took a more serious approach to my health, including loads of research into preventing breast cancer. Among the research was the story of Rene Caisse. I hadn't not really even heard of her. My husband said he had never heard of her either until I asked him if he knew who she was. His entire family has lived in that town since the second world war. No mention. There is a small museum devoted to her story and a statue in the town and recently an auditorium was named the Rene Caisse theatre. But I have to find out about her from the internet. You would think that people living in Bracebridge would be he most open-minded when it comes to alt cancer treatments - no.
