Guest guest Posted June 18, 2008 Report Share Posted June 18, 2008 Yes, Jason mentioned that it's cheap plastic. I'm thinking of making one myself and getting glass gallon jars. Simple to drill the glass if you know how--which I do. :-) But for the amount of time that you make the water I don't know if you'd have to worry about the plastic leaching in. On the other hand, if you are trying to avoid all plastic toxins, then either buying the expensive ones with good containers (I'm supposing they have good housings) or making one yourself would be the only alternatives.
