sodium bicarbonate/honey

Renee, I carefully simmer 1 part sodium bicarb to three parts honey, stirring constantly. Honey boils over easily, and makes a huge mess. Then I take 1/4 tsp in the morning. It raises my urine ph from very low to normal. That said, I doubt it makes much difference to health. When I was thriving on the Budwig Program, I didn't do anything to raise my ph, and it slowly went up to normal.

Now, it is consistently low unless I use SB/honey. I'm still eating the same amount of greens, veggies and fruit, but am not thriving. I'm no scientist, but I'm guessing that the rise in ph is following my cancer health, rather than leading it. Rhoda

Hi Rhoda.

Well, if you feel that the BS/honey mix is not improving your health, why are you taking it? Just trying to figure things out here, not doubting you. If you say it keeps the ph up all day, yet you don't think it is helping, what is it doing to raise the ph?

Yes, normally when a good diet, or some type of good protocol is followed, ph will raise on it's own without taking supplements to help it. So, if the BS/honey is making the ph go up, yet you feel as though you are not getting better--then I wonder what it is doing other than simply spilling into the urine. Hmmmm

It's always best to raise ph naturally via food and perhaps high ph water. But if you are eating the same now as before, and your ph has dropped again--then perhaps juicing more alkaline veggies would help? Drinking high ph water? I do have a site recommended by Jason of eyton's earth, that has a basic alkaline water machine for only $150, that Jason feels works as good as the super expensive machines.

Samala,

Renee

Those water electrolysis machines can be good adjuncts to health. It is unlikely that the effect is pH based. The terminal that produces the alkaline water is creating a tremendous amount of reducing electrons, basically a very powerful antioxidant solution. If the good effect had anything to do with pH you could skip the machine altogether and simply add bicarbonate to the water and get the same effect. Unfortunately, you can't. When you have cancer, the tumors are using a lot of glucose and dumping a lot of lactate due to anaerobic glycolysis. The lactate (lactic acid, the same substance that makes your muscles "burn" when you lift weights) is in your blood until it is converted

back to glucose in the liver. This lactate challenges the regulatory mechanisms of the body, which then dumps acid into the urine. As cancer grows the lactate production increases.....and the acidity of the urine does too. Taking things to increase alkalinity in the urine is like painting over mold on a wall. It masks it but does not fix anything. You have to kill the mold. Attack the cancer and boost the immune system. Don't focus on the pH of the urine. In other words, don't take alkaline substances so they dump into the bladder and mask what is going on.MikeGaiacita <gaiacitaoleander soup Sent: Wednesday, June 18, 2008 10:17:35 AMRe:
