Guest guest
Mary, I just wrote Marc yesterday about having a place in the United States to order these pills as it takes forever to get them and I am having a hard time ordering them from his website. Wouldn't it be great if he could stock some here so we wouldn't have to wait to get them and order at our leisure... Bonnie & CodyVote for your city's best dining and nightlife. City's Best 2008. Guest guest
Bonnie, it would be great!! I think more would order them, because a lot of people do not want to order overseas. Guest guest
But whoever sells them in this country cannot make any health claims for them. So that eliminates Tony and many others. Guest guest
Mary, According to Tony if a supplement (oleander) has been under FDA scrutiny as a drug and not approved which may take years to be approved it cannot be sold in the states which is why we can't get supplements of oleander, guessing it would be a felony for someone to sell it, darn! Oh well going to try Marc's website again today. Bonnie & CodyGas prices getting you down? Search AOL Autos for fuel-efficient used cars. Guest guest
Yes, oleander was put forth in 1998 as an IND (Investigational New Drug) when Ozelle Pharmaceuticals put Anvirzel into FDA phase I testing, which it passed. Unfortunately, Ozelle ran into difficulties and was unable to secure funding to proceed farther. Since oleander was put forward as a drug, the FDA can consider it an unproven drug and ban any product containing oleander which claims health benefits. On the other hand, Anvirzel is being imported regularly under FDA exception rule. And there is some confusion, since the American Cancer Society states on its website that oleander can be sold in supplement form. So far, there has been no problems importing from South Africa and I would certainly not want to risk upsetting the applecart by trying to sell or distribute from a U.S. location. I am guessing that the FDA could be more likely to claim jurisdiction over any product directly sold or distributed by a United States company. Otherwise, I would be happy to try to help make that happen. Perhaps a better way can be found, but for now I am quite happy just letting people know that a very good supplement form is available without rocking the boat too much - even if it takes awhile to arrive. oleander soup , evian793 wrote: > > Mary, > > According to Tony if a supplement (oleander) has been under FDA scrutiny as > a drug and not approved which may take years to be approved it cannot be sold > in the states which is why we can't get supplements of oleander, guessing it > would be a felony for someone to sell it, darn! > > Oh well going to try Marc's website again today. > > Bonnie & Cody > > > > **************Gas prices getting you down?
