If you didn't want to make your own tea, I have heard that the tincture of essiac is a very good choice. I bought this for Cody and it's called Truman's Essiak. It only takes a few drops daily and it's very potent.

Just thought you'd like to know of an alternative to it,

Thank you Loretta for that information.

Truman's Essiak has Burdock Root,Sheep Sorrel, Rhubarb Root (Turkey), Slippery Elm bark and R/O Water, 12% alcohol.

Use 6-12 drops in water 3x's daily.

All our best,

Please be careful with tinctures. They are not what Renee

Caisse recommended. Neither did she recommend capsules or a tea with 8

ingredients.

True Essiac Tea has four ingredients (Burdock root, Slippery

elm,Turkey rhubarb, Sheep Sorrell) and is brewed as a tea.

The preparation of Essiac is as important as the formula

itself. Essiac is a decoction, not an infusion. An infusion is what

people make when they put a tea bag in a cup of hot water. Generally

speaking, an infusion tends to extract vitamins and volatile oils. A

decoction is used to extract minerals, bitter components, etc. from hard

materials such as roots, bark or seeds by boiling for a few minutes and then

allowing the herbs to steep for several hours. Marketers often sell

Essiac imitations in tincture form (herbs in alcohol) or in gelatin capsules;

neither form is Essiac because Essiac is a tea and, more specifically, a

decoction that must be made in a certain way in order to be effective. I

understand all the marketing about tinctures being convenient, but you will

never know IF the tincture is made correctly or is potent enough. To me

that is taking a huge chance.

Be Well

Hi all, I don't know about the tincture, but one of the best sources, imo, for

loose essiac

tea is at www.herbsbymerlin.com. Funny, since that was part of my questions.

Essiac tea is

NOT recommended for CLL (leukemia) which I have. Does anyone know of any

contradictions with oleander products in regards to CLL?

And BTW, SoCal uses oleander bushes as medians in freeway dividers, lol. They

grow

EVERYWHERE around here. Huge one of the neighbor's handing over my bank fence.

Thanks for any info. Jennifer

I didn't google the tincture, but that will no doubt bring it up somewhere along

the line.
