Guest guest
Hello everyone, If I visited the southern states, would I have a relatively easy time finding oleander plants? I am thinking of a trip to SC, and/or Mississippi soon. I guess what I need to know is that it grows there; if it does, I will find it by asking around..... Guest guest
Sorry about not changing the topic heading. My last few emails were not getting through , so I'll try it as a response........Mathias Rath and others are facing legal action in South Africa for treating HIV patients with natural substances. Guest guest
Alquitit,Olenader does grow in the South (I'm from TN) but I think that you will find it planted in public places more in Mississippi, Georgia, Florida and South Carolina. I bring mine in in the winter, TN gets too much freezing rain which subjects plants to bark splitting, rot, etc. There are quite a few nurseries in MS and South Carolina, a few organic ones, too. We get a lot of our plants at the various nurseries in town from bigger operations in other states. It is more a speciality bush/ornamental (little do they know) here. If you are good at rooting cuttings, I would be glad to send you some from my plant (no chemicals or pesticides) just fish poop for fertilizer from the bottom of my pond. (you can contact me off group, directly if you want cuttings) I had a near perfect biosystem going when I had my pond. Anyway, good hunting. Guest guest
So would an oleander plant be able to withstand a Wisconsin winter? I am going to Myrtle Beach in a few weeks and would love to bring one back, but I'm not sure if it would last here oleander soup , John Ward <vward007 wrote: > > Myrtle Beac, South Carolina is full of oleander bushes! > > > > Mike Golden <goldenmike86 > oleander soup > Saturday, June 14, 2008 7:31:06 PM > Re: Finding Oleander plants > > Bth those States have it, it's easier to find in Mississippi. > > Mike > > > > alquitit <alquitit > oleander soup > Saturday, June 14, 2008 5:47:22 PM > Finding Oleander plants > > > Hello everyone, > If I visited the southern states, would I have a > relatively easy time finding oleander plants? > I am thinking of a trip to SC, and/or Mississippi soon.
