Water filtration before it enters an alkaline water machine

I have dealt with the hard water problems around San Antonio, TX. It is 15 to 18 grains per gallon here, mainly calcium and somewhat lesser magnesium. These limey minerals crusted the plates in my kangen water machine. This is my story and how I solved my own water quality problem. This solution I found is only one of many available. This will show you what is possible:I was able to buy an activated charcoal filter which removed chlorine and some halohydrocarbons, but a call to Enagic's office on the west coast revealed that the problem of poor pH output from the machine was due to the extremely hard water that entered it from my faucet. I had to buy a water softener for my

home. My choice after much aggravation over costs, etc. was a Revolution Water product made by GE. It has a 7 stage filtration process and does not use salt continuously. It flushes the system clean every 2000 gallons or so. There are no elements of filters to replace. The salt vat will last all year with no need for more salt. The GE softener is guaranteed for life, and you get one free move if you change your residence. It filters out heavy metals, halogenated hydrocarbons, calcium and magnesium, rust, and other crusting minerals. The cost was $4500, but didn't have to pay any installation or down payment. Financing is through GE at 6.9%. All I have to pay is $49 / month until the machine is paid off (no penalty for accelerated payoff).I now have top quality water. All of my water bottles no longer have mineral deposits on the bottom. My shower head is

unclogged! I feel I made a very good choice.I started drinking the Kangen water w/ a 35 inch waist in March. I am currently at 31 inches, and on my way to 30 which is my goal. This machine was only one of the things I've chosen during the last year to improve my health, energy, and outlook in general. If you have more specific questions, send me a private email. Do not clog up the Oleander Soup site with emails that are of a commercial content, please.Michael L Goebel, DC, ACN
