No one and I mean no one has all the answers and in this industry it seems the more we learn the less we know so you are in good company. Do not look at your education with your course as an ending, look at it as a beginning. All the aromatherapy courses are a beginnning of you TRUE exploration into aromatherapy. All a course is to give you the very basics, a stepping stone into the true learning zone, now that you are almost " there " it's a pat on the back for completing it and a " so whatcha going to do next? Guest guest
Hey Gea By definition, learning is change, and change can be awfully hard. To learn something, you usually have to unlearn other things, so it is almost always a two step process. This makes it twice as hard as you expected it to be. I studied with Martin's course, and at times got very frustrated. (Plus, I am a training snob; having spent 25 years in the training/ education/ documentation field, I am positive that no-one can write course material better than I can!!) I would think that I understood something, but when I tried to write clearly, concisely and completely, it seemed I could produce only blargle. Obviously we can't help you write your papers, but we can bounce around ideas. Maybe more importantly, we can make sympathetic, cooing noises, with words like " Poor baby, it really is hard, isn't it? " Then after a while of that, we can say, " You are smart and diligent. Get in there and write that paper and show that teacher how good you are! Do it now! " So, consider yourself befriended, mothered, and otherwise supported. And knock 'em dead.
