Hello Everyone,

I created this recipe out of necessity and found it works great at

keeping my voice heard and my cough quelled. Just thought I'd share.

Throat Coat Spray Recipe

1/8 of a shot of Drinking Alcohol (Whiskey)

1/3 of 2 oz bottle filled with Raw Honey

2 oz Water for Tea

1 Throat Coat (Traditional Medicinals) Tea Bag – contains licorice

root and extract, slippery elm bark, marshmallow root, wild cherry

bark, bitter fennel fruit, cinnamon bark, and sweet orange peel

1 Peppermint (Celestial Seasons) Tea Bag – contains Peppermint

Boil 2 oz of water and add the 2 tea bags to brew a strong tea.

Cover and let this mixture cool. Mix alcohol, honey, and brewed tea

in 2 oz Plastic Spray Bottle. Shake to mix ingredients. Spray

liberally on throat for tickle, cough, sore, scratchy throat, or

minor loss of voice.

The honey has some properties that are good for allergies and helps

to coat your throat. The Peppermint tea helps give it a nice taste.

Throat Coat tea does not have a great taste but has the primary

ingredients to help the throat feel better.

The small amount of alcohol is only added to preserve the

ingredients. The tea starts to taste stale if a small amount if

alcohol is not used. Because it's in a spray bottle, it can be

tossed in a purse or slipped into a pocket. It's not always easy for

some people to stop working and go make a cup of tea.

Sending love and light...
