Stop Drilling in the Arctic Wildlife Refuge-Vote Tomorrow! As early as Tuesday morning, the Senate will vote on the McConnell Domenici Amendment. This amendment will open up the pristine Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and our magnificent Atlantic and Pacific coasts to oil and gas drilling. Stop the drilling now!It would also end a moratorium on the commercial development of destructive oil shale in the Intermountain West, so that leasing of our public lands could begin immediately. This amendment does nothing to decrease the price of energy for consumers, ignores global warming pollution, and discourages investment in clean energy technology. Instead, it increases our dependence on fossil fuels and destroys wildlife habitat. You can help! Please take action now and tell your senators to vote NO on the McConnell Domenici Amendment!
