I was skeptical at first, so I went to the website. It sounded good, so I figured " what the heck, " I'll give it a try. My goal was to pay off $5000 in credit card debt and a car loan so I could buy a new home, and get me and my 4 girls out of our 2 bedroom apartment. It worked! It's now 9 months later and ALL of my debt is paid off, and I just signed a contract on a new 5 bedroom house! There is no better feeling than to have NO debts, and a savings account too! Thanks to your system, my family is going to have a better life by not being enslaved to debt. " -- Katrina S., Houston, Tx. What the heck... Give DebtIntoWealth a try, today! It takes an effort and sometimes we don't want to make this effort. It's easier doing things the way we've always done them. If it's working for you, don't fix it, but if it's making you crazy, it's time to take stock and get it looked into. Remember, it's habit that keeps us locked into unhealthy patterns, so to unlock that habit, we have to rethink what we are doing. I know for me, one of the reasons I fail to eat healthfully is because I've failed to plan. Being out and about running errands and not having a snack with me is a recipe for disaster. Sometimes I do well and run into the grocery store and grab a yogurt (I keep a box of plastic spoons in my car!) and an apple or something. Other times, I've been so hungry, I'll grab something at a gas station. Usually it's nuts, but they're oversalted, too expensive and I know I could have done much better. If I know I'm going to be out during a meal or snacktime and PLAN for it (as in think ahead), I will do better. It's not a big deal; I don't have to take coolers and such; I just need to have the pre-think thing down enough that I'll grab something to go that will tide me over till I can get home for a real meal. But it's not just our habits that need to be fixed. It's our moods and how we answer them with food! When I give a particular speech about this subject, I say there are two kinds of mood foods: smooth, creamy mommy foods; the foods that calm and soothe us and crunchy, angry foods.the food we eat when we just want to chomp and mindlessly chew! Getting to the bottom of why you eat what you eat, especially if you're trying to break the bad habit of not eating well or turning to food as a means of comfort, takes a little investigation. Keeping a food diary can be very revealing-I recommend you try this if you keep slipping up and eating stuff you know you shouldn't be. A pattern could emerge and how you felt when eating could indicate what's going on and give you clues on how to break this habit. To do this, get a little notebook that will fit into your pocketbook. Date the page and write down what you eat. Next to that food, write down how you felt. For example, it could be breakfast and you write down that you ate a whole grain waffle with peanut butter on it. Next to it, you write down you felt tired or hungry or glad you had this waffle. Try this exercise for three days and see how you do. Who knows? You could find a pattern and be able to eradicate it! Once you've nailed down a pattern, you can start practicing prevention: taking food with you, avoiding those types of situations, practice stress reduction through deep breathing, etc. This isn't an easy thing to do, but it can be liberating if you've become a slave to bad eating. Good luck on your discovery! ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* OUR SPONSOR Stop Junk Mail! Save Trees! GreenDimes stops your entire household's junk mail and plants 10 trees on your behalf for $20. I received this email from a Healthy-Foods reader and since she shared her delicious soup recipe with me, I thought it'd be fun to share it with y'all. I love your recipes!!! Being a " Foodie " , I print each one and file them in a 3-ring binder for future testings. I am crazy about Soup and love any kind of vegetables...so...I sent my 17 year old to the store and said...buy a big Pot Roast...she did and I cut the whole thing up into bite size cubes and made the best soup I have ever made in a Dutch oven and then threw in big handfuls of Oriental stir fry vegetables at the very end!!! It was so delicious! I would love to share the recipe with you! ~Sally I actually made up this recipe...so...you can embellish it all ya want! Beef-Vegetable Soup 3 pound Pot roast, cut up in bite size cubes 2 onions, chopped (divided use) 3 ribs of celery, chopped 3-4 cloves of garlic 6 potatoes, cut in cubes 4-6 carrots, cut in cubes 1 can chopped tomatoes (I usually use a mild Rotel) 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 1 Bay leaf 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powder 1 teaspoon thyme 1 teaspoon paprika Beef stock or 2 cubes bouillon...your choice 1 small sack of frozen soup veggies 1-2 cups of frozen Oriental veggies In a large Dutch oven, heat 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil. Saute garlic, chopped onions and celery until limp. Brown beef in batches on all sides. Meanwhile bring 8-10 cups of water to a boil. Place beef bouillon cubes in Dutch oven along with 2 TBLS. Worcestershire sauce. Pour boiling water over meat mixture. Add canned tomatoes. Cover and cook on medium heat for about an hour. Add fresh potatoes, carrots and another chopped onion and cook until all vegetables are fork tender. Add frozen vegetables. Simmer until done. I like to add fire to mine...usually add 1-2 either Serrano or jalepeno peppers while it cooks.... ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Healthy-Foods Resource Intrigued by all those dinner-assembly franchises popping up all over the country?
