Guest guest
I have it from my other group but I tried it and it's really great to feel the movement ine every chakras:) Dorota Chakra Meditation Chakras are seven energy points within our bodies. They are imagined as orbs that rotate in unison. These energy points affect various aspects of our bodies. There are more Chakras located in the hands and feet, but they are secondary to the Seven Chakras that I will mention. Just as each organ in our body has a function, each Chakra has it's own purpose. They are each separate in what they do, but they function in simbiance with each other. I will list each of the Chakras individually so that you will know where they are on your body and what their function is. Then I will explain to you how to open your Chakras, cleanse them, and then close them again. I will also list some signs of blockage and which Chakra you will need to concentrate on to open that blockage. 1.. Base or Root Chakra. This Chakra is located at the base of your spine. If it is hard to feel the base of your spine, then just think of your tailbone. This Chakra is linked to our survival instincts and our ability to ground ourselves. The color associated with this Chakra is Red. 2.. The second Chakra is located in the sexual organs. This Chakra governs our sexual and reproductive capacity. The color associated with it is Orange. 3.. Solar Plexus. This Chakra is located between the heart and the navel. It gives us our sense of personal power. This is also what we (in the Pagan community) refer to as your center. When you direct your energy you will draw it out from here. The color associated with it is Yellow. 4.. Heart Chakra. This Chakra is located in the heart and it gives us the ability to express and receive love. This is why when we refer to love or emotions we say we feel it in our heart, because we literally do! The color associated with this Chakra is Green. 5.. Throat Chakra. This Chakra is located in the throat. It is our source of creativity and communication. This is where we get our ability to speak and express our thoughts. The color associated with it is Blue. 6.. Third Eye Chakra. This Chakra is located in the forehead between your eyebrows. It is the center of our intuition and psychic awareness. The color associated with it is Indigo or Purple. 7.. Crown Chakra. The last Chakra is located on top or our head (our crown). This is our spiritual connection with the Divine. Kings are often said to have been ordained by God, which would explain why they wore a jeweled crown signifying this. The color associated with it is White or Silver. Now that you know where the Chakras are, it's time to learn how to open and close them. To begin, you need to sit upright in a comfortable position. The Lotus position is perfect for lining up your back, but most people are not comfortable with that. If you can do a half Lotus or Indian style then that should be sufficient. If it helps you may want to sit on a pillow or other soft surface. You want to be as comfortable as possible without lying down (we want to meditate, not take a nap). When you are comfortable, take a deep breath. Concentrate on the air slowly filling your lungs and then gradually going out of your lungs. Do this 5-10 times until you are focused on your breathing only. Forget the grocery list and the unpaid bills. Now concentrate on the first Chakra (base of your spine) and the color Red. Imagine a red ball there and when you can picture it, start the ball spinning in a counterclockwise motion. When you feel that this Chakra is spinning well enough to remain spinning while you work on the others, then move on to the second Chakra. Think of the color Orange. This orange ball is in your reproductive organs and it slowly begins spinning. When you are ready, move on the to the third Chakra in our Solar Plexus. There you will want to see a Yellow ball that is also spinning in a clockwise motion. At the fourth Chakra (in the heart) you want to picture a Green ball that is also spinning in a clockwise motion. Don't forget that as you move to another Chakra, the previous ones should continue to spin. At the throat you will imagine a Blue sphere that is spinning in tune with the others. Continue this process to the third eye Chakra (middle of the forehead) and concentrate on am Indigo or Purple ball. At the seventh Chakra (the top of the head) you want to see a White or Silver ball that is spinning in tune with the others. You may begin to feel a sensation of being " high " , really happy, or just really relaxed. If you don't, then just remember that this type of meditation takes practice and every time you do it you will get better at it. Now assuming that you don't have any difficulties, you have just opened your Chakras. So what do you do now? Well, that's up to you. You can just relax and enjoy the feeling, or you can pray to the Deity of your choice, or if you have any blockages (see the list below) you may work on them now. Otherwise you will want to close them. Caution: Do not ever leave your Chakras open if you are done working on them. Opening your Chakras means you very vulnerable to the outside world and easily accessible to anyone who would like to take advantage of you. To close your Chakras, you want to begin with the seventh Chakra and work your way down to the first. At each Chakra, imagine the ball that is spinning and gradually slow it down until it has stopped completely. Do this at every Chakra. If you feel a noticeable amount of tingling or sensation at one or two particular Chakras then you have either not closed them properly or they need further cleansing. That's it! It's very simple once you get the hang of it. All it takes is practice and concentration. Blockage in a Chakra can cause you physical symptoms that you may have had for a long time but just are not aware of. I am not suggesting that you blame an illness on your Chakras. Seek medical attention for any thing that may be experiencing. If your Chakra(s) are blocked then cleansing them should fix the problem. But if it does not, then it is probably unrelated to your Chakras. Symptoms of blockages are listed below. Paranoia and defensiveness This would be related to your First or Root Chakra. Emotional problems or sexual guilt This is centered in you Second Chakra. Anger or a sense of victimization For this problem, look to your Third or Solar Plexus Chakra. Immune system, Heart problems, or a lack of compassion The Fourth or Heart Chakra is the source of this type of blockage. Throat problems, Creative blocks, or Communication problems You will want to concentrate on the Fifth or Throat Chakra for this issue. Sinus/Eye, Intuition, Divination problems To improve these you will want to work on your Sixth or Third Eye Chakra. Psychological problems The Seventh or Crown Chakra is the source of this blockage. Once you have located what problem you have, or if you felt " stuck " or unable to visualize the corresponding Chakra, then there is a way to work on it. As you are in the process of opening your Chakras, pause after opening the Chakra Chakra Meditation
