energy are you wasting?

These

days, we have more and more electrical gadgets. You probably don’t think too

much about them.

After

all, if a television or appliance is turned off, it isn’t drawing any power,

right? Think again!

Many

gadgets go into standby mode when they’re not in use. That means they’re

drawing power. The reason? Well, some have clocks that constantly tell the

time. Other items go into standby mode so they power up faster.

This may

seem innocuous enough. Actually, it is wasteful. Your machines are quietly

increasing your electricity bill. Nationwide, millions of machines are sipping

voltage.
