Guest guest
Detox Bath Finely ground the following: Coriander Seeds Mustard Seed Mustard Powder Ginger Powder Cayenne Pepper (whole or ground) All of the above ingredients must be finely ground and then sprinkled into a hot running bath. Now the weather is changing and it is getting colder and it is especially easy for contracting colds, flus and becoming sick. This bath will warm the body and help in removing the toxins by forcing your body to sweet out any impurities. This bath is used in many spas today and if you cannot do this in bath for, for lack of having a bath-tub, then prepare as an infusion and pour directly over your body under hot water. Guest guest
This was posted a few days/weeks ago, I thought I'd give it a try, See below recipe for my reactions LOL...oh and have a good laugh... This bath is used in many spas today and if you cannot do this in bath for, for lack of having a bath-tub, then prepare as an infusion and pour directly over your body under hot water I've been subscribing to a for several months. On a regular basis several good ideas, recipes, news, information comes out of said groups. I wasn't feeling well, and everyone around me has been sick. I know my immunity is down because my body is trying to heal a bruise on my foot. I dropped a hard drive (about 3 pounds) on the top of my foot. It could be cracked we don't know, but I know I hit a serious vessel in there because now my toes are black...and my ankle, and the sides of my foot. So, you know, I figured anything could help to lift my spirits and maybe stave off anything that might be coming on...So without really thinking too brightly I decided to try the above mentioned recipe. Please note have a good laugh on me:Wow - what a rush! If I had to pay a spa to do this to me - I'd probably sue. (Where's the damn warning label?) Ok, so let's go down the list, Coriander seeds (dunno are they hot? I'm out anyway), Mustard seeds and powder (ok you use this as a paste on your chest for colds - how bad can it be?) Ginger Powder (mildly hot and soothes the stomach) Cayenne Pepper (UM...note to self - dumbass it's hot...well I'll give it a shot)So I combined one teaspoon of each ingredient in said container (minus coriander - i'm out remember) and added a little hot water, it became pasty. So I added more water. Blended until smooth and headed for the bathroom. After there was an inch of water in the tub I added the liquid fire - I mean mixture into the running water. Strip, get into said water while the water ran. Crap, it's not hot enough, turned down the cold and let it run more water into the tub. Turned off the water and soaked. Um, nice, but still not hot enough for my taste and besides, what are all these herbs doing? Nothing really...Ok so I let out 2 inches mind you, added more hot water. Ah, just my temperature. I lean back to relax and notice a slight stinging on the backs of my legs. (Ok, I'm going to exaggerate from here on out, but only a little). I expected that maybe those tender areas down there might actually have a reaction to pepper but the backs of my legs? Oh come on...I'm soaking and no, its not stinging, it's starting to burn.Oh crap...now what? Wait there was no warning for those without a brain or sensitive skin. Oops I have sensitive skin and the backs of my legs fry in the sun within a minute or two and I'm expecting Cayenne Pepper NOT to burn me? Oh gee...I just want to feel better, not to ex foliate everything below my waist. Nair doesn't hurt this bad and com'on I watered it down with gallons of water per teaspoon...Let out the water and shower it off....ok, try to shower it off. Soap up, twice, rinse off. Ok, not so bad. Let's use a little lotion on those puppies, Aloe sounded good. Wow...30 minutes after it still stings a little and guess what, I'm not sweating any more than usual after a hot bath but I am swearing a bit more. My general consensus, USE WITH CAUTION, if you have sensitive skin and don't feel good thinking you might have a feather in the back of your throat and everyone you know has either been sick or is sick, DON'T TRY THIS!! LOL unless you're a massacist and then go for it. Instead try to drinking a hot tea with whiskey and maybe upping your vitamin C levels. LOLOh, I'm in no means mad, I think this is great stuff...just thought I'd share the funnies on me, literally. If you do pass this on, please remove my name!Blessed Be All Never miss a thing.
