Ramsons (Allium ursinum)

 

Ramsons (bear's garlic) has been used as a medicinal platn for thousands of

years. This plant is associated with bears and is thought to possess the power

of purification. Ramsons is used to cleanse the blood. Ramsons belongs to the

lily family. It has a very garlicky smell. It is native to Europe and Asia and

likes shady areas best.

CAUTION: Since ramsons is so simmilar to lily of the valley, before wild

harvesting, make sure you know exactly which plant you are harvesting because

lily of the vally is poisonous. Be sure you carefully identify the stong garlic

smell of ramsons before harvesting.
