- Loraine Glueck Wednesday, May 02, 2001 10:48 AM clinic; ProphetOfDoom aromatherapy I am a student in massage therapy. I'm doing a presentation in my anatomy and physiology class, and I have chosen the subject of aromatherapy. However, research is proving to be difficult. So far, I've encountered many hokey "aromatherapy can cure everything" pages and many "aromatherapy is hype" pages. I'm having trouble finding a resource that gets past the accusatory comments and the sheer naivete, and just gives me the science. If you can help, please email me at ProphetOfDoom -I appreciate any help I can get. Hi Loraine,

I'm replying to this on group since there are others who are interested in

aromatherapy.

There are a number of very qualified and very professional aromatherapists

on the wiseweeds groups on , including a man who grows roses in

Turkey. The wiseweeds groups is the best source of aromatherapy information

that I know of. Also check with Catherine Novak.

There are some scattered references to TCM aromatherapy in some of the Bob

Flaws books.

You're right to be leery of any healer who claims that his or her particular

school of healing can cure everything. No school of healing can cure

everything, and that includes TCM. Sometimes TCM is best, sometimes

chiropractor or DO, sometimes Western medicine, sometimes acupuncture,

sometimes herbs, sometimes surgery, etc. Sometimes the best treatment is a

combination.
