Guest guest
I seem to recall seeing somewhere a " recipe " for treating plants with aphids or other bugs. I had a terrible case of them on my roses and ivy this summer and just couldn't seem to get rid of them permanently. I have a kitten who plays amongst my plants (and chews on everything!) so I can't use chemicals. I tried the soap-and- water mixture, the soap, water and alcohol mixture, and lady bugs, to no avail. What I remember of the recipe was that it had pepper juice (like jalapenos or some other hot peppers). This would also help to keep the kitten from gnawing on everything that grows, as well! I only have one plant that's poisonous to cats (a spaghetti fern that I've had for years and couldn't part with when I got the kitten, that I've hung way out of his reach), but I don't like him defacing my plants. If anyone has this recipe or any other suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it.
