Guest guest
Additional information from Anne an amateur nutritionist. Aspirn was discovered by the American and Canadian Indians in the 1800's and before. Aspirin is derived exclusively form the Bark of The White-Willow Tree; indigenous to North-America; includ. Canada. White-Willow Bark can be prepared in a variety of ways; Teas and Salves; just to mention a few. The Bayer Asprin Co. bought the White-Willow Bark Trademark from the American and Canadian Indians and " synthesized the Bark into pills " . Another good Bark is Sassafras-Tree-Bark for Tea. White-willow Bark or " Aspirin " is the true miracle-drug of Today. Aspirin prevents/treats more diseases than any other known drug; besides Penicillin. Though Penicilin et al. have side-effects; they do cure diseases. usa herbal remedies , " Debra Savage " <gdwmn65@v...> wrote: > > Terri, > > All I know about white willow bark is that its basically like asprine. So, years ago (IIRC, it was shortly after WW II) they started to produce aspirin synthetically from petroleum, which is how " aspirin " is still made today. I've read that over 90% of today's allopathic " medicines " are now derived from petrochemicals and/or coal tars... even many of those that had their origins in plants. Guest guest
White Willow Bark http://www.regaininghealthnaturally.com/Herb_Information/White_Willow_Bark.shtml White Willow has been used for centuries to reduce fevers and reduce pain. It is closely related to the common aspirin. It is great for fever, chills, and rheumatism or arthritis. It can be used both externally and internally. In addition, White Willow bark can be used for stomach troubles, sour stomach, heartburn, and to help prevent vomiting. It will increase the flow of urine, can be made into a tea to be used as an eye wash, to stop bleeding wounds, nosebleeds, and the spitting up of blood. To prepare a decoction, soak 1-3 tsp. of bark in a cup of water for 3-4 hours and then bring it to a boil. Drink this tea only a mouthful at a time, unsweetened. Drink only about 1 cup total per day.
