The recipe in this message for the homemade natural soap is NOT safe! All oils have different saponification values. Which determines how much lye is required to turn a certain oil into soap. To just say "use ANY oil (not to mention USED kitchen oil) with x amount of lye is very dangerous. Lye is a highly caustic substance and needs to be handled with respect. Adding improper amounts to your soaps can result in chemical burns from too much lye, or a bowl of gloppy oil mess from not enough lye. Making homemade soap is not something one should just jump into. It requires research and understanding of the chemical processes involved to make sure a safe, quality product is achieved.
