The whole reason why popcorn pops is because you heat

up a sealed seed, the liquids in the seed expand and

have no room to go so it explodes the seed. Now, if

you sprout the seed, thereby making a hole in the

seed, how would it pop? You have opened the seed up

by sprouting it, thereby allowing a place for

expansion and it can no longer explode. JB

Thanks. I never really thought whypopcorn pops. I mean couldn't you

pop other seeds then?

Sure, there's puffed rice and puffed wheat (cereals).

Most any kind or grain/seed that has a good solid skin

on it should pop (or puff). J

I was just hoping there was some way to get rid of the enzyme

inhibitor. Oh well, so much for popcorn. <g>
