Guest guest
I'm looking for some information. I am a soaper by trade, making not only soap but other personal care items geared towards women, men and children alike. I recently received an article that apparently was posted on an AOL news board that Lavender essetial oils are creating enlarged breasts in male children. Anyone hear anything about this and can shed some light? One of the products that I've produced that has generated a number of sales is my sleey time lotion for young children. I put lavender oil in it for the obvious reasons...calming. But now I'm worried I'm creating little boys with man boobs? Any insight is much appreciated. Guest guest
This has been mentioned on several groups and most have concluded that it is unfounded media hype. First of all, how valid an a study of 3 boys be. That's right, only THREE. Secondly, There isn't much background to go on; I'd certainly question what other factors had been taken into consideration (lifestyle, diet, medications, other personal care products used etc) when performing this "study". I wouldn't worry about it overmuch, but obviously, everyone should research any eo's that they put into personal care products to be sure they are well versed in their usage/benefits and contraindications and also that they are using skin safe amounts.
