Rose Moisture Cream

Ingredients:

1 cup beeswax

1 teaspoon lanolin

1 tablespoon almond oil

1/4 teaspoon wheatgerm oil

1/4 teaspoon borax

3 tablespoons rosewater

6 drops rose oil

Melt the beeswax and the lanolin together with the almond and wheatgerm oils in a double-boiler or in a bowl in the microwave on a low setting.

Dissolve the borax in the rosewater and beat into the mixture.

Stir in the rose oil as it thickens.

TIP: If you are making cosmetic creams in the microwave, err on the side of caution. Process them for just a minute at a time on a low setting.

TIP: If you don't want to go to the trouble of making your own cosmetic creams, try adding a few drops of essential oil of rose to unscented moisture cream or overnight cream. The easiest way to do this is to just melt the cream on defrost in a microwave, then beat in the rose oil with a fork or a miniature whisk. Messages in this topic (1)
