I'm getting ready to make a salve for my friend who has cracked hands from working outside in the cold weather. I just realized I don't have pine needle eo and wondered what I could use instead.

The recipe I have calls for beeswax, olive oil infused with calendula, plantain and St. Johns wort, vit E, pine needle eo, chamomile eo, lavender eo and tea tree eo.

Thanks for your suggestions!

Your recipe sounds great. I make one that has shea butter, cocoa butter, beeswax, plantian, calendula, camomile eo and lavender eo. It is very soothing on the hands. I also use it to help when I come into contact with something I am allergic to. I don't see why you formula wouldn't be great without the pine needle eo. Try it and see how you like it!
