Guest guest
Hello all~ As many of you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness & Domestic Violence Awareness month. These are two issues that are near and dear to my heart! I am conducting a fundraiser to support projects in both of these areas. 100% of proceeds will be donated to national charities. I am offering two fundraising candles to support each of these initiatives (see descriptions of two of the organizations that will be supported below): Breast Cancer Awareness Glass Soy Candle $10 (Pink Ribbon) Domestic Violence Awareness Glass Soy Candle $10 (Purple Ribbon) Each Warm Spirit candle is carefully handcrafted using pure soy vegetable wax, natural unbleached lead-free cotton wicks, and naturally derived fragrances. Unlike other paraffin candles, ours contain no lead, dyes or added chemicals, thus burning cleaner and leaving no soot. (see the attached " Sisterhood Candle " document for a photo of the candle) Shipping will be a flat rate of $5 If you would like to support either of these intiatives (or both), please fill out the attached order form and leave the completed form in my mailbox (Irvine office), email it back to me, call it in to me at 909-573-4530, or fax to me at 909-632-1633 by Friday 10/13. Thank you so much in advance for your support! The Domestic Violence Awareness Project (DVAP) The Domestic Violence Awareness Project (DVAP) supports the rights of all women and girls to live in peace and dignity. Violence and all other forms of oppression against all communities of women and their children must be eliminated. To change belief systems and practices that support violence against all women, the DVAP recognizes and promotes the participation of the entire community in building social intolerance towards domestic violence. The purpose of the DVAP is to support and promote the national, tribal, state and local advocacy networks in their ongoing public education efforts through public awareness campaigns, strategies, materials, resources, capacity-building and technical assistance. These strategies include campaigns that address the victimization of women throughout their lifespan. The voices, leadership and expertise of women who have been battered are acknowledged as critical and necessary components of these campaigns. The National Breast Cancer Foundation The National Breast Cancer Foundation mission is to save lives by increasing awareness of breast cancer through education and by providing mammograms for those in need. (see http://www.nationalbreastcancer.org/about_us/index.html for additional information on their initiatives) Enjoy the remainder of your day! Kandace T.
